I have a guy good friend whom I am really in love with, but things got complicated. Although I still love him that much but loving him just causes me a lot of hurt and pain. He is a good friend but I need to get over him. It's really difficult cause since we are friends it is expected that we hang out with our other friends once in a while. In short, if I try to avoid him totally, I might loose him as a friend. But in the same time I am trying not to interact with him so I can start moving on with my life. I am really confused, I don't know what to do!

Wow this sounds like the story of my life recently. I was in a very similar situation. What I will tell you is that avoiding him is not going to help. What will probably help more is spending time with him. The other thing I did was make a few new friends that were completely outside the situation to hang out with so I could have a good time with people and not even have to think about that. It has Helped alot and now I don't even mind being around him because I realize that is probably better that it not work out anyway. But we are still best friends.

Does he know how you feel about him? If he does know and is not responding or has said that the feeling is not mutual, then you need to eliminate yourself from places he is at if you can't handle it and find other things to entertain yourself. Have you even asked him how he feels about you? Because you say he is your best friend, have you talked to him about the pain you feel. A best friend should be able to understand your feelings and help you out.
If you knew someone just like you in the same situation, what advise would you give them? Sometimes your own advise is the best because nobody knows you better than yourself.

i TOTALLY know how you feel... i was just in that exact situation not too long ago... I didn't necessarily avoid him, but I just didn't hang out with him as much until I though i could be able to laugh and talk with him without being all "love-y" now i chill with him all the time... don't worry, you'll get over him!!

U HaVe to choose...
If u want him 2 be ur bf then u have 2 be honest 2 him about how do u feel about him...
But if u want him as ur friend... U have 2 throw away ur feelings bout him...
Go On 2 ur normal life b4 u fall in love with him n try 2 do everthing with only 1 reason, "He is my friend"...

this is very complicated and its common. well... some say you can be friends with your ex. its untrue. so forget abt him and find a new friend and a new bf. just forget him.
