I'm from Kuwait; I've moved to California this summer to attend university. I must say I'm amazed by the prices here in the States. Comparing things I find everywhere (from grocery shops, to designer clothes) became a habit at first, but now I no longer bother - it's just always cheaper no matter what. From now on, I'm certainly doing all my shopping here - it's just incredible. Aside from very few things, I haven't had any trouble finding what I need. If you keep looking, you're bound to find it somewhere. I plan to visit NYC next summer and be even more amazed.

I had been to San Francisco, Dally City, San Diego, LA, Camarillo, California and Nevada. I had been to 2 outlet stores, in San Isidro, the last American exit in San Diego and another outlet store near El Centro California.

I had also been to Hongkong!

I would say shopping is still the best here in the Philippines! Try going to 168 in Divisoria, our countrymen from all over the world go there to shop and get the best out of their money. It is our local version of Chinatown.

We have Shoemart department stores in all places and SM Mall of Asia is even bigger than MOA or Mall or America in Minnesota.

Our departments stores are better and cheaper. Our kababayan or fellowmen who are from the States, Canada, London and other places find even the clothes and food cheaper here.

We also have Alabang Town Center and Greenbelt which are at parr with the world! We have Louie Vitton, Prada, La Coste, Giordano etc. We also have Rustans !
