What are thoughts/reactions to this book? I've read it, and I found it to be focused to much on human wants and desires.

This is a misunderstood concept in the body of Christ. People believe that Christians have to suffer and go around unhappy, with unfulfilled lives. This is contrary to the will of God. Read about how the queen of Sheba visited Solomon and she saw how prosperous the people were and all the joy the people had when serving the Lord. If the people of the world are going to be won over for the Lord, they need to see the reflection of God's goodness and favor in our own lives.

Osteen seems to encourage people. He seems to be a kind christian , but often does not want to take a stand on issues. I think he is fearful of offending the 20,000 + member church. I'm sure he has helped millions , and I'm glad to see someone that wants the best for people. I don't think anyone needs to judge .Remember he /she without sin cast the first stone.

I haven't read his book, I do watch him on TV.
He preaches a sugary sweet message.
There is nothing wrong with having sweets occasionally, but if thats all you eat you become diabetic, I see no real meat in his message, and I can't imagine that kind of message bringing anyone to repentance.

Yep. You can also add human efforts. Not very much Jesus.
