All one has to do, is stop moving around so much in life, and stand still . Get silent, and be in the silence of life.
Then you see and know, that there is one factor of God that matters , and matters only. Love.
Respect is one of the many aspects of love.
I do not follow any religion. I treat others as i want to be treated. And if i do not recieve the same respect, then i walk away.
Most of the time, it is the religious ( and christians) who want to keep yelling and fighting, (not at all god like) .
While i choose peace, silence, and to turn my back on the negative, and face the warm sun of truth and light and love.

That's because there only ever was one, though it was not a "religion", it was a way of life. Basically do what you want, as long as it hurts no one. Then man got the idea of control and money and power and a god complex. Now everone is still following the same way of life, just under a different storyline.
Can I tolerate it? Yeah, because what's the alternative.

I'm 50 years old, and I've seen enough that I don't believe that there is only one right religion. I believe that whether a person understands the concept of God that I experience or not, God still loves all of us. What parent (God) wants anything but the best from their children? I think there are a lot of unhappy people in the world, who pervert religion to justify the evil they choose to do.

You have just written a fair imitation of Kant's Universal Imperative. I don't know all religions from the Amazon to the tribes of India. Of the main religions, your question omits Christianity which encourages the actions, but also recognizes the failure. Christianity offers a hope beyond the eyes blurred.

many many years ago I found the door marked "T" for tolerance a product of meditation. As a matter of fact i'm tolerating a massive tooth ache this very second. What is intolerable is the destruction that presumptive religions mix in their moral platitudes as they killl one another for immoral reasons. How long do you tolerate the intolerable; a year, two years, two thousand years. Should not one serve justice as well!

Yes, I've looked at and read about all religions, and I agree that aside from some minor differences, they are all based on the same principles. I'm really struggling to figure out why some (not all) 'religious' people are not accepting of others. Judge ye not... right?

Yep. Pretty much every religion is headed in the same direction. Unfortunately, many take little side paths that totally get them off track.

I don't want my vision blurred to the truth. I want to see and know and understand clearly.
Ephesians 2:8-10 (King James Version)
8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast"
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What you say is true. Except for 1 crucial thing! All religions (except Christianity) says that you have to be good to go to heaven. Christianity says Accept the gift of Jesus' grace and you will live for ever. You cant earn it. It is a gift.
