well, I am a christian, so yes, I can imagine that. Why would it be any different from living next to an atheist? Yes Christians believe in God, but it's not like we're crazy. People tend to add to the title of "christians" as boring people, who can't do anything fun, well if you think following God, the creator of all things is boring, well then I guess they're right, it's really not that bad, I promise.

I am a born again Christian today precisely BECAUSE one day I happened to live next door to Christians. It was a Baptist preacher and his family who I thought were the WEIRDEST ducks I had ever seen in my LIFE! After spying on them at every opportunity and observing their lifestyle for a couple of years, I came to the conclusion that they were the genuine article. I started asking questions, but HATED what they were telling me! (Who likes being told they're a sinner)? But yet in my heart I knew they were right. I knew there were things in my life I had done that were wrong, but even though I didn't get "caught" necessarily, I still carried the weight of that sin. When I decided to stop fighting and listen, I felt something strange. I felt a tug at my heart and I KNEW I was hearing the truth. I had studied many religions in the past, and always before, my GUT told my something was "off" about what I was hearing. Well this time it was different. I repented of my sins that night, and trusted Jesus as my Saviour, and my life drastically changed from that moment on! I've never been the same, and I've never regretted it!

Let me put it this way. Not all Christians are as they claim to be.
Christians in the past, or rather so called Christians in the past had persecuted other Christians, by putting them on the stake, sawing them asunder, and all kinds of inhuman tortures, called the inquisition. But there are also Christians who follow strictly their Master command to love their neighbours as themselves and to love even their enemies who persecute them.
So you might have to take your chances and who knows your are on the lucky side.
The other option is to have your neighbours who think that you evolved from amoeba or worms, and will return to dust again, so there is no creator no heaven no hell, and no obligation to follow a certain set of rules.
I would rather take my chance and chose the first option. Although I have also experienced living with people who do not profess any religion but they have been marvellous neighbours, and treated me better than my own blood brothers.
But the best comfort is, to be sure that you are the kind of neighbour that others would be happy and thankful to have you live next to them.

I'm a Christian. What's wrong with living next to a Christian?

Yes I have lived next to Christians many times. You will find that most of the time they are as good as any neighbors you can find. They do not try to force anything on anyone and I would much prefer to live next to one any day than to live among a bunch of hipocrits.

I would knock on their door and ask them if my glow in the dark boxers were sexy enough, for any would be catholic priest who might consider making me their next altar boy. Think of all the tax exemptions I could get, in just being part of the whole right wing "Christian" party crowd. I'd could even write off wine, as part of my religious beliefs.

that doesn't really matter to me. i mean, i respect that every one has a right to beleive anything they want to. so, i have no problem with a that. one the flip side, i am a christian and i lived next door to an aithiest, we got a long fine, and i respect them as a being, even though we deffer in beliefs. i think it is very policital for people to think that it would be a problem for folks with opposite beleifs to mix. anyhoo indeed, i wouldn't mind an aithiest liveing near me, so i wouldn't think that a non beleiver would mind in i moved in next door. oh and please, i mean no offence by anything i have typed, if i offended any one. i am very very sorry, i have no intent to discourage any person. your beleif in between you and your self, i greatly respect that. andee

I do live next to one. What's the big deal? This place is teeming with them. Most of them are really kind, friendly folk. It's only the political radicals that are a problem.

There's a politicized Christian church in my neighborhood, with a marquee thingy out front slathered with slogans... but I am determined to treat them as ... well, as I figure Jesus would. With pity.

I live WITH a Christian. Can you imagine that? An atheist and a Christian cohabiting... what a thought, huh?

Dumb question.

I live inside a Christian, and I love everyone as Jesus of Nazareth taught. I don't really look any different than any one else.
