WOW ummm..yes! Finally, someone who speaks truth in righteous authority!

Yes we should try to follow the law, keep the feasts etc. When we err, grace is there by the shed blood of Yeshua. BUT that doesnt mean we go around sinning just because we know about forgiveness, like some believe.

Like that site, sounds exactly like our beliefs without the feasts...Messianic Jew.

Blessings

The sacrificial law was the Law of Moses and was done away with when Jesus Christ was born. It simulated the death of Jesus with the animal having no blemish and the bones not broken when killed, and when he died man received the higher laws. We are to obey all the laws for our station in the church and also the laws of the land, which ever land you reside on. We cannot follow in his footsteps unless we do follow God’s commandments because that is what Jesus did.◙

Unfortunately the Scripture itself is contradictory on this point. On the one hand Christ said that 'not one jot nor one tittle' of the law was to be done away with by man; on the other hand in several places He implies or flatly states that one or more of the Mosaic laws are no longer valid or were never valid in the first place. He also states that it is not the letter but the spirit (i.e. the purpose) of the law that matters.

The fact remains that some of the Commandments (of which there are reportedly 365 in the Torah alone) are either impractical, nonsensical, or unacceptable in the modern world. For example, hitching two animals of different color or wearing clothing of more than one type of fiber is an 'abomination' according to the Bible. Another example is Commandments which condone slavery or permit a man to sell his daughter. It is doubtful anyone would expect such 'laws' to be obeyed.

I couldn't agree more with you. Just like what it said in Romans 6:6, the Apostle Paul said that without (God's) Law he would not understand sin.
People forgot that Jesus always used the Law when He confronted or witnessing with people (the rich man, the woman at the well, etc). You are right, we're not bond to the civic law and ceremonial law, we're bond to God's Law, which is the 10 Commandments.

The law brings us to Christ. If you try to follow it then you are saying that the finished work of Christ was not enough. If it was not enough then it was not perfect and if it was not perfect then you are still in your sins.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

The only laws in effect today are the laws established under the authority God gave to his universal new covenant church ... not the old laws from the Bible, which were never able to save, in the first place.

In the Bible, Jesus, and later, St. Paul clearly explain this.

That's why we call it the NEW covenant and not the REVISED covenant.

I like you. I am SDA. We say the same things, except the whole ellen white thing. I went to a highschool with a traveling gymnastics team. And we visited a school called sunnydale or springvale or springdale academy or something like that. I think it is the first one. I wonder if you have ever heard of it. It was fun, I had a blast there. We have almost everything in common. Even David that Messianic Jew agrees with us. I'm going to add you and him to the people to watch list. Email me or edit this and write me something ok?

Having been saved by Jesus, our motivation for obeying God should never be out of fear or sence of duty. It should be out of gratitude for what God has done for us. The law stands as a guidebook for living. We follow it if we trust in Him.

i could not have positioned it more advantageous suited myself!!! you're so thoroughly accurate that this is unhappy. I were puttering round right here on R&S for somewhat a even as now, and that i imagine my hair is permantly fried. i in my opinion have not contributed a lot because of each and each and every of the hateful language - and a large purchase of that has been from "Christians". i'm so satisfied that there are others who trust me. We, as believers, favor to do not forget that if Jesus were right here interior the flesh (back), that the very those who we, as "Christians", are condemning with techniques from our hateful language must be the very those who he ought to opt for to be with, and larger importantly, to love. I favor more advantageous human beings ought to ensure that. thanks for being one. On behalf of Christians accessible who are not that way, i go with to ask for forgiveness to the non-believers for the detest that has been despatched your way. It does not come from all believers.

Quick question, what laws are you referring to? All of them? Because if so, than why not sacrificial ones, and the ones for priests? Are you talking OT or NT laws? Specifics will go along way here.
