I'm Buddhist. The 2 concepts you ask about are separate to me. Truth is truth whether it be an esoteric truth or another truth. Religion on the other hand is religion whether it be one sect or another. I don't see the correlation you seek because Religion can't be truth and conversely truth can't be religion. However that aside I think you're asking which religion is the true religion? Would that be correct? If so my answer to you would be that all religions are true religions. As a Buddhist I don't judge as firstly I'm not a perfect being so my judgement would be flawed, also if I were to judge then this would cause conflict, confusion and therefore suffering, perhaps the other folks here see the validity of what I say....If you seek the Truth then the test of whether it is truth or not is in the answer to the question Is the Truth you found self evident or does it require proof? If it requires a proof then it isn't a Truth at all it is a postulate and requires proving all the time....My advice to you is always seek the Truth but when you find it ask the question... Is it self evident? I don't expect you to follow my advice of course it is for you to decide, you are a human being with knowledge of the Truth, you will know it when you find it.......good luck ... :-) ........

i think a religion is not a truth, but an earthly outlet and quest for the truth.
no one knows the truth--no matter how convinced they are! each religion preaches that it is the truth and the God specific to that religion is the way, the truth, etc. so, in effect, a person will of course believe that his or her religion is the "right" one! it's the oldest form of sales tactic and propaganda.
i think each person should educate themselves with more than the bible, and really read into history, the development, seperation and wars between religions. there is more "truth" to be found about them.
which religion a person devotes his or her life to is a personal matter based upon his or her location and upbringing (culture) or person values if they are a convert. there is nothing more annoying than the person trying to "save" the rest of us. to each his own. the real truth-tellers are time and death.
ps) can all the christians stop giving a "thumbs down" to all the answers that combat/question the christian faith or even state any type of equality among religions? even this question that was posted is a perfectly good question and shouldn't have received a thumbs down either. please. as if we don't know you're already one of the most judgemental groups of people out there. try not to make it obvious. everyone is entitled to curiosity and to his own opinon, just like you are. no one likes being persecuted for their opinon or belief. remember that please. i think that's mentioned in your bible.

I believe that "religion" is not capable of being defined as truth. What can be described as truth is what an individual person believes is true for them as they seek a relationship with God.
Since this is the Christmas season, it is a relatively simple thing to be able to find a church to go to and hear a representation of the truth as Christians believe it. Jesus' own words during His ministry say, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except by me."
God's Son, Jesus, is the only way to truth. Study the Bible for yourself and see what God reveals to you. Ask Him to open your mind to His truth. Start in the Gospel of John, the fourth book in the New Testament.
If you are truly seeking truth, God will visit you and reveal Himself through His Holy Spirit.

Truth comes from God alone,
[010:034] Say: "Is there of your (God's so-called) partners one that originates the creation and then repeats it?" Say: "God originates the creation and then He repeats it. Then how are you deluded away (from the truth)?"
[010:035] Say: "Is there of your (God's so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?" Say: "It is God Who guides to the truth. Is then He Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? Then, what is the matter with you? How judge you?"
[010:036] And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, God is All-Knower of what they do.
[010:037] And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than God (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the Revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injîl (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. the laws decreed for mankind) – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the 'Ãlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).
[010:038] Or do they say: "He (Muhammad [Peace be Upon Him]) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides God, if you are truthful!"
[010:039] Nay, they have denied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did deny. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers)!

God!! Who else... I mean.. think of all the religions and churches. Many are similar.. in the christian faith. Yet, they all baptize differently, have different rules, etc.... doesnt make much sense does it?
How does God feel about all of this?does he want us to all think things differently ? or does he want us all to be united in one faith, with one god and one baptism? Seems so to me....
That is why the Lord restored his Gospel as he said he would before the second coming, with the same teachings, ordinances and covenants of the church that Christ established when He was here.
There is truth-- ONE truth- ONE god- ONE faith- ONE baptism. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you will find those truths, the FULLNESS of the Gospel. No holes, no questions, no confusion, solid TRUTH. This is wherein lies the ability for families to be together forever.

The bible, thats who says which "religion" is the Truth, God is the truth. Other tend to believe in all different types of religions, but God says, "I am the way, the Truth, and the life". God loves you and wants you to love him, but lets that be your choice.

It seems that everybody knows that their religion is the right one and all the other religions are the wrong ones.
Wild coincidence, isn't it?
