I had a water bed that was a little different. The water was in large tubes, 7 I think, and you could change how firm you wanted it to be based on the water level. The tubes were in a square foam thingy and then a foam mattress on top of that. You had the comfort of the water bed, but actual support for your back. I miss that bed!! :( Stupid moving out for school!!! :) Good luck.

myhusband and i recently bought a new home , so we hav had to be on a budget seeing that we have so many rooms to furnish. we ended up buying the cheapest king mattress set we could find at 500.00 at put a 150.00 memory foam topper on it and it sleeps like a dream ! i am not kidding you. before i was married, at home we had the most expensive mattresses you could buy(sterns and fosters) and this is just as good! you can alyways try it out and return it. hope i could convince ya.
