Hi Danny
I'm sorry that you feel depressed. I went through a lot at your age too. I didn't seem to fit in with my age group or adults, I felt caught in between.
I have a daughter in middle school. She always went to the same school, then I thought it was best for her that we move to a small town where there are less students per class, so she can learn more and be safer.
All her friends were in the other town and she still isn't happy with me. I tell her to call her friends, but she only talks to one of them. I guess she's shy and maybe you are too.
She wasn't doing well in school and the other girls didn't like her because she liked the color "pink!" Isn't that crazy? She's doing better now, made friends and her grades are better. She's really into being fit now and uses the garage to excercise.
You're lucky to have a brother, even if you don't see him much. My daughter is an only child, she's had to learn how to entertain herself.
She tells me sometimes when she goes to bed her mind just wanders back to her friends and how much she misses them. I know that time will make everything better, I hope that you know that too.
If you feel too depressed, tell your mom, dad, or counselor. I'm thinking the counselor might be best. He or she would direct you on what should happen next.
Aren't there after school sports you can join? Have you thought about going to church? Volunteering, especially this time of year? Do you have family close by that you can visit? Can you do a paper route?
Christmas is coming, that should bring some exciting things for you to look forward to.
Even if you don't see your best friend again, you'll make more friends, maybe you just need to talk more?
You just need to roll with the punches and know that it won't always be like it is now.
For me, it seems like when I lose a friend, that friend gets replaced with a new one. Things will be looking up, you'll see.
Keep your chin up!~

Picture this: a caterpillar eats and eats and eats.. AND eATS!! every single day of its life!! It does the same things all the time. Then one day, it decides to settle down on a nice branch and starts building a cucoon around itself. It's really strange cuz it NEVER did something as crazy as 'settle down and NOT eat' before!!
And then you don't see it anymore. ONE day, you see the cucoon breaking open and expect to see your pudgy caterpillar friend again after such a long separation. But WHAT do you see??? A big beautiful colourful butterfly. You're AMAZED. You NEVER imagined something so strange and spectacular could happen and maybe you're confused cuz you liked your caterpillar friend so much....
Then you spot another caterpillar and see it doing the same things. And then another and another... but now you KNOW what they're going to do so it's ok, you're not surprised, or worried, or confused, cuz you've 'Been there, Done that!'
Well guess what, LIFE, ALL of it, from the beginning till the end is FULL of changes. You'll live in many houses, have completely different set of different friends, keep doing DIFFERENt things each year.
THis is the first time, ever since you've grown so smart (13!!) and its the first time you've seen the caterpillar turn into the butterfly. You don't need to worry or be depressed! You're just learning. When life changes, it also means YOU're changing. So make new ways for yourself. New things you like, new people you hang out with.
It's a world full of millions of colours! You don't want to spend it looking at just one shade do you? Take care, cheer up!

I don't forget myself a author (no less than, I write) and I'm no longer depressed. But frustration or even unhappiness is some thing that comes from writing, when you consider that, as anybody else stated earlier than me, you are no longer simply feeling your possess americaand downs, however your characters as good. I'm an excessively emotional man or woman, I will admit, and I get labored up over stuff that perhaps I can not. Does how writing goes for me outcome my temper? I suppose so. Writing is, for folks who're passionate approximately it, a style of liberate in their innermost self, and while immediately some thing occurs and that liberate will get up on preserve, it will get all bottled up. I bet that is why I name Writer's Block a sickness. You're being slowly tormented to demise through the suggestions that you just cannot write. Haha, so yeah. Are all writers emotional folks? I suppose so. Are all of them depressed? I'm going to must disagree with that one, despite the fact that they absolutely all can also be depressed at unique instances.

Sweetie, first, you have to make a decision. You have to decide to be active not passive. Your brother has grown up and even though this happens, you must know that he is still your brother and regardless, he loves you. You need to find other things you are interested in. You are getting older too and your likes and dislikes will change often but you are the only one who can fight this. As for your best friend, are you sure he had a choice in moving? Maybe he didn't. Sometimes life doesn't seem fair but you are the only one who can make your life what you want it to be. If things get too hard, talk to your parents, maybe they can get you the help you need if you don't feel you can do it on your own. Keep your chin up, things will get better.

You're young, Life is full of changes... some we don't understand, take them all in stride, Life is a mystery and full of surprises.... I myself, call them adventures ( where will this one take me)... Your brother, he hasn't forgotten you, when you reach his age you will understand... He is very busy himself... He loves you and don't ever forget that...
Your best friend... well perhaps he himself didn't know he was moving, He is still your friend and always will be... Give him a call!
The games you played, well we all get bored, it is just time to find new games, life is a game, get good at it....
You will be fine, stop eating so much and go out for a bike ride...instead of turning on the simpsons, open a book...
You know that cute little blond that you like? give her a call...
Take care young man - you will be ok!

Hi danny I am sorry things are changing in life.
Trust me everything will keep changing over time. Nothing remains the same. Your brother is gorwing up, he needs his own space. Maybe you can keep in touch with him, write to him, send him gifts. Let him know you still love him.
Regarding your friend, be more active at school , talk to more people and get to talk to friends a lot.
It is hard to adjust when things change quickly and you get down easily, but you must learn to adjust. You need to take care of yourself and make yourself comfortable not just within your zone but out of your zone as well.
Doesnt mean that when people you know begin to change, you have to change as well, you dont have to. But , you can adjust to wat has happened. Ignore negative thoughts and take it posivitely.
Get to do new activities.
If you get a chance, talk to a counsellor at school. She/he will definately bring ur burden to less.
Open urself to new ideas and thoughts because we need each other to live.

These are the hardest years of your life. You haven't seen enough of the world yet to feel that way. Please just try to stay strong. I understand depression very well. I know someone who was 9 who hung himself also. This is no joke. If you need help, seek it. Immediately. Otherwise, we are here on yahoo for you when you need to vent or find a good friend who will just listen sometimes when you need to talk.
