RC is the best ever racer at the toughest sport ever. Is it a letdown that he will go to Nascar after dominating like has in AMA mx? I think if he is to be any less dominant in NASCAR he may be lost in obscurity for a while. Maybe at least it will gain exposure for Motocross and Supercross.

"but can he drive a 3400 lb. racecar that travels twice as fast?"

If you have ever, and I mean ever ridden a motocross race, you would not ask this question. Clearly, Rickly Carmichael, and James Stewart are the best motorsports athletes that exist today. Is ot a let down, that due to the economic reality... which is..the NASCAR dog and pony show he will now use less of his talents? BTW he has made great money, but the recognition only comes with NASCAR, that is the only recognized motor sport in the USA (and that is damn sad).

Can't blame RC in motocross hes old but in NASCAR he is young as hell but don't understand team choice though?

Good question. Here is an example. Travis pistrana who also was a great motorcycle racer/stunt rider is now racing in a rally car. he has done rather well in it. It all depends on ricky's talent level. He is no doubt one of the greatest mx riders in history, but can he drive a 3400 lb. racecar that travels twice as fast? I personally hope so. It would be cool if he could have gotten the no. 4 for his car too .

Could be a good move.He may have wanted to expand his knowlege of motorsports. But then if he does not meet his personal goals he may get bored and want to return to the bikes.
