I would be nice, read a lot, go on side trips without your group and be nice but kind of distant to those you don't like. If they ask you "What's wrong?", just tell them you want to relax a bit. Do not drink with them or alone. It's a really bad idea. You know this is kind of a weird situation, going with your co-workers but not your family on "vacation". I bet you had a conference first. Try to enjoy what timeyou have left and get plenty of sleep, so you'll be fresh and cheerful when you get home.

Try to have the most fun, do the most things , see more things than anyone, then you win in the end!
Don't get hung up on small stuff.
When you look back to this time from somewhere in the future, how do you want to remember your experience?
Make it a story worth telling.
Make your trip what you want it to be.
Don't complain to anybody because people gossip.
Look at the big picture!
Absorb the culture, and try to learn as much as you can about a new place your friends, and family have never been.
The best part about coming home is the story telling of new distant places. And pictures of course!
Have a great time!
Your family and friends will be waiting for you!!

I can think of a few solutions:
1) Drink a lot! I don't know if this would be appropriate depending on your coworkers, but should you drink and get loosened up you might enjoy it more!
2) Stay away from them. Go on your own adventures and excursions and have your own fun. Meet some locals, hang with some other tourists, or just hang on your own.
3) Suck it up and deal with it. In a different situation than the workplace maybe your coworkers will surprise you and be a lot of fun. Give it a chance!

A vacation with your co-workers? Yeah, what kind of vacation is that? Well, surely you don't have to spend all your time there with them. Instead of telling them "I can't stand you, I have to get away on my own" you could sign up for tours or other activities that they aren't interested in and just go. In the future you might want to consider traveling by yourself. After you research your destination to make sure it's reasonably safe to go there alone. I do, and it's a great way to meet people and do exactly what you want.

Poor Lizzy girl!
Yes, indeed!
Are you so young?
I cannot figure out why people would go with co-workers at all, and worse ones they dislike, on a vacation except if it is the price to pay to be in a otherwise unreachable place...
You speak about vacation, no work, were you forced?

Whenever I go on holidays with someone i dislike (which isn't very often!), I just try to imagine that they are somebody that I like hanging out with, and drink as much as I possibly can! Trust me, it helps take the tension away- but don't drink too much, or things might get nasty... Good Luck, just be patient with your co workers, and remember that your family will be home when you return :)

Sit back and dream about the next visit to the same place when you will be with your beloved ones.

Try your best to enjoy the vacation. Only you can make your vacation better than what it is already. Being negative is only going to make you more unhappy.
