Well, I am a pretty smart guy (3.9) GPA at a Science University.. I have alot of friends.... and I am not a total Nerd... (at least I think so) I am very picky with who I date... I like this Girl... she is gorgeous, smart, adorable, lets just say... next to perfection... I know that a girl like that would typically date someone extraordinary, someone rich, smart, and special... I was her friend for 2 years, hang out, study together, take classes, chat, etc.. last year, we both Transfer to different Universities.... she wanted a goodbye dinner ( which I refuse).... she gave me her # in her native country over the summer to call (which I did not)... now that she is in a new University, i haven't talk to her since... it has been 7 months... I know that giving up is the right thing to do, but why do I feel as if what I did was wrong (avoidance and letting go)?

Whether you felt your chances were slim with her or not, you certainly did not take advantage of the opportunities she gave you. Why not the goodbye dinner? That would have been a great opportunity to ask her if she was interested in taking your relationship to the next level. Next, you did not call her all summer long. Well, she can't think you are very attainable can she? Why not just make a call to her asking her if you can correspond by phone or e-mail. Tell her you are interested in developing more than a friendship with a girl at this point and want to know if she is available. What in the world have you got to lose? You don't have anything but memories. The fact that they are unresolved will bother you until you address the relationship further. Go for it. She is no better than you. Best of Luck!

She gave you many signs... she wanted to keep contact with you and you turn all down. I think you should tell her the truth and how you feel about her and the real reason why you turn her down. You have nothing to loose, only regrets!

People will not remember you for you GPA score but the type of person that you are and relations that succeed.
