when i turn it on it just shows a weird face and says i shoul go to support. whats wrong?

Your firmware (the iPod's internal software) probably has been corrupted. Go to this site and update your iPod's Firmware:

If it's like what someone else replied to your question said, then you probably have a bad hard drive (or flash drive if you have a nano). I suggest looking at ipodmods.com. They offer pretty much everything to repair ipods. They offer either repairing it yourself (with the tools they sell on the website) or they will repair it at their shop.If you elect to repair it yourself, you can do a search on here for ipod repair tutorials. Also just telling you now, their shop is in kalamazoo, michigan.
