Well its also the Law of Torah, and Bible, ...its the Law of God.
But lemme ask ya somthing wat will ya do with the Man if he rape ya sister or mother. I will stone him to death if i m the Judge in court. same thing with woman. so that people can get guidance, so that people can think hundred times before they commit adultery.
USA has one of the highest rates of rape
United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries of the world. It also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the world. According to a FBI report, in the year 1990, every day on an average 1756 cases of rape were committed in U.S.A alone. Later another report said that on an average everyday 1900 cases of rapes are committed in USA. The year was not mentioned. May be it was 1992 or 1993. May be the Americans got ‘bolder’ in the following years.
Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijaab is followed in America. Whenever a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic hijaab, that is the complete body is covered except the face and the hands upto the wrist. After this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment. I ask you, in such a scenario, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same, or will it decrease?
PEACE!

It's not the woman who is punished under the law, it's both man and woman. This punishment is due after all the verifications. Islam does not allow such relationships that grow outside or without marriage. As a woman I am happy and proud of this strictness.

not only women but also men. if a married man or a woman commit adultry, the Islam required to provide 4 trusted witnesses (which is very hard to bring) the one male witness is equal to two women witnesses, and God has wisdom behind this.
however in rape crime i don't think that's in the catagory of this punishment. because when God talked about the punishment of stoning he refers to those who done sex with their own choice. but for rape crime, the woman has been forced. and whoever been under forced is a victim and cannot be punished.
[33] .......And force not your maids to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order that you may make a gain in the (perishable) goods of this worldly life. But if anyone compels them (to prostitution), then after such compulsion, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to those women, i.e. He will forgive them because they have been forced to do this evil action unwillingly).

Men have sex with each other for pleasure. Sex with women is only for making babies.
