I've had a friend with benefits for greater than six years now. We are both extremely busy people and sometime we don't speak for months at a time. Then out of the blue, one of us will decide to call the other. We both have admitted that we love each other. Also, I'm "that" girl and he is "that" guy for me. You know the type of friend that you cry on their shoulder and they comfort you whenever someone breaks your heart or rejoices with you whenever you find someone that makes you happy, even if it's only for a short time. We live about 200 miles apart and whenever we briefly see each other we often get "involved" again. I told him that I'd be happy however our situation turned out and regardless if we were together or not. I am content to be his friend and throw rice at his wedding. He won't do the same for me. Why? I don't understand. He said doesn't like the idea of another man with me eventhough he doesn't think we would work out. He asked me what I'd do if he got me pregnant? WTF?

Sounds like he likes you more than a friend.. and what's with this "friends with benefits" thing. Why not have a friend AND a relationship? If you like him for nothing more than the benefits then why not just try being simple friends.

Either he is more into you than you are into him, OR you are more mature than him, OR he is more of a jealous person than you are, OR some combination of the three.

And heed what he said, "he doesn't think we would work out." That is probably his intuition talking, and our intution always knows. It sounds to me like this relationship should stay nothing more than a friends who love each other with occasional benefits kind of thing.

I am in a similar situation, but we both agree that it would not work out between us even though the idea of it is thrilling. Sometimes I have felt jealous, sometimes he has. I believe that in the longrun we would both be happy for the other when we find the right one. And I am strongly considering cutting off the "benefits" part so that I can be more psychically, spiritually open to men who are right for me.

It seems to me that he cares for you a lot more than you think. He probably doesn't want to lose you and is making a desperate attempt to keep you two together. I would talk with him and aske him how he feels about the two of you and what he wants to do about it. The more you know, the easier solving the problem will be.

Good Luck!

It sounds like a case of "If i can't have you then no-one can" he's gaining the sexual pleasures of a realationship without having to deal with a "realationship" Since you have both confessed your love to each other and that's as far as he is willing to go without branding it a relationship id be telling him i ain't no-ones booty call! All or nothing!

Maybe that's his way of telling you he wants something more! Sounds like the two of you need to spend some quality time together and do some talking!

IT SOUND LIKE HE LIKE THE SITUATION THE WAY IT IS
SO THAT YOU CAN GET TOGETHER WHEN IT SUITES
YOU AND HIM. BUT THE CATCH IS HE CAN PLAY THE
'GAME WITH OTHER WOMEN BUT YOU CAN PLAY THE
GAME WITH OTHER MEN. THAT WHAT THE DEAL AND IF
YOU REALLY WANT TO CONITUE THEN BEWARE OF THE
OUT COME, HE TRYING TO KEEP THIS IN HIS COURT
SO WATCH OUT GIRLFRIEND. THIS ONE MAY BE
NOT THE ONE TO DEAL WITH, IT COOL IF BOTH KNOW
THE RULES OF THE GAMES. BUT IT SOUND LIKE HE
WANT THE RULES IN HIS COURT. NOT YOURS. SO THINK
LONG AND HARD ABOUT THIS GUY ESPECIALLY SINCE HE
ALREADY SAID WHAT IF YOU GOT PREGNAT. GET THE
HINT.
