When people keep saying immigrants do jobs americans won't, i find this hard to believe. I have worked in many jobs that "americans wont want." The illegals i see are working as cleaning crews and doing construction and what not.
My last job was to gut fish for 8 hours a day at a fish market. I am a full-fledged american citizen. I am also a college student, but many of my friends as well as I are doing jobs that "americans wont do."

There ISN'T a job that Americans WON'T do... that really irritates me... some of us have to take these jobs to pay the bills etc, the only people that say that are the illeagals and the cozy PC middle class that dosn't have a clue!

It isn't that they do jobs Americans won't thats a big issue. It's the fact that come over here illegally that makes a big deal. The effect illegal immigrants are damaging our country. And it isn't neccessarily true that they work below minimum wage, they make at or maybe a little above the minimim salary. And Americans don't want jobs such as land scape or contruction working or anything that has manual labor. Which is probably why majority of this country is over weight. If someone wants to come into this country LEGALLY and work then by all means become an American. But as far as the ILLEGALS they are whats hurting us. And I think this is why immigrants aren't liked by a majority of people, because we stereo type them all as illegals. And the millions of illegal immigrants are oblivious to matter that they are hurting our country, or they just don't care.

CHEERS FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS, most of our young are spoiled and have a poor work ethic, I have worked doing MANY disgusting jobs but most of the kids I see nowadays won't do them at any price. Hot dirty days in the sun picking fruit or weeding acres of land. ask some teenager to go out and make $$ this way and he/she will say no. I can make more fippin burgers.
If there were no migrating Farm workers the farmers would have to pay more $$ to bring the workers to the Fields, raising the cost of our foods. In manufacturing there are allot of good jobs being filled with workers from other countries, because there is a demand for them.
I was an Opreations Manager for a large company that did Heat treating at refinery's on the welds of repair or new piping. All the refinery's do their shut downs at the same time. our company had 1500 heat treaters making $12 to $18 per hour + OT and per Diem. and we couldn't cover we had to bring in people from South Africa and Great Britain to cover the shut downs we couldn't find people to cover the 2 months of work a year even though they could make $1800 to $2400 a week for 2 months but it's hard, hot, dirty work 12 hour days and 7 days a week, you have to pass a drug test and your away from home for 2 months.
Just make sure the workers pay taxes they have to have a green card

It's not that Americans won't do it. It's the fact that Americans won't do it for less than minimum wage. Your job at the fish market sounds terrible, but I'm sure you were at least getting minimum wage. The illegal immigrants would do it for $3 dollars an hour. That's the difference. Americans expect at least minimum wage and probably deserve more. If they can get illegals to do it for half the price, they have a good thing going, don't you think?

just another example of the way a C student proclaims knowledge of a subject. No offense to C students but....... I have seen an infiltration into many job markets by illegal mexican immigrants. Don't try to tell me that there are no American carpenters! Homebuilding and apartment maintenance are two areas that mexican illegals have taken over because they will work cheaper, but in the process have lowered the quality of the product. Who used to build Americas highways? Who used to build Americas new homes? Hey Georgie, America knows your an idiot. Everyone in the world tells him he's wrong, so, he does what he wants anyway. Gee what a great president, NOT!

Are you referring to white people in America or Americans in general,Because you don't see many whites up on trees picking oranges or harvesting produce,not that whites are lazy,but everybody has the right to chose their ways of support.

They do the mindless jobs we have no desire to do...every society has these types of mindless jobs...Maybe one day robots will do them and put the Illegals out of work.
