George Bush has a great plan to force democracy on people that don't want democracy. Can you say money pit?

I think they pray multiple times a day for it to end. I'm not even over there and I don't even pray often but I pray for it to end too. If you believe in the normally structured "God" then I guess you think of it the same way as how does "God" allow tsunamis, earthquakes, forest fires, etc to happen and kill so many people. Personally I just try to think happy thoughts and convince myself it's part of the bigger plan...doesn't work a lot of the time but that's what you get when you try to have faith while still having a brain. I don't think free will has anything to do with it. What are they supposed to do? We've occupied their country which is torn to bits by civil war and trouble. I'm not even sure there IS a way to fix the mess that's been made without continued loss of life let alone have it carried out by a grass-roots movement of people who aren't able to raise massive funds.

I believe they do. (Iraqis praying for their horror to end.) However, free will has nothing to do with prayer. Free will is only one's ability to make a decision and follow through with it. Afterwards, each are accountable for those decisions. I don't believe in "miracles" as they are commonly defined.

Keep walking funny, dude! ; )

I am sure that they pray for peace, and probably five times a day as most of them are Muslims. But miracles happen nowhere.

Where there is sin there is suffering. My son was at the Battle for Falusha. He said there was many unexplained happenings.God was looking out for his people. He said it wasn't unusual to take of your shirt and find bullet holes in it!
