The best rule of thumb when something is wrong:
If you would take a baby to the doctor for the same symptoms, then it is wise to take a puppy to the vet..They are even more fragile than human babies.

Try mixing dry food with powdered milk and warm water. keep it at a thick paste but not to thick. Hold the puppy in a towel or small blanket snuggled on your lap. Make sure that there is as little background activity as possible. Puppies easily get distracted no matter how hungry they are. Next, Put a little bit of the mixture on your finger and gently rub it up and down on the puppy's lips to get alittle in. If it doesn't get excited about it the first time keep trying for a few minutes. If still no luck, Put alittle in a dish and set it in a box or basket with the puppy and put it in a dimly lit room for an hour or so. After one hour replace food with fresh and start again. If no luck by morning, contact your vet and see what they reccommend. Good luck!

Puppies tend to be be stressed when taken to a new environment. Just make sure your new puppy gets plenty of water so he wont get dehydrated. If he doesnt eat after 24-48hrs I would take him to the vet. My Yorkie wouldn't eat for a whole day, but the next day she was fine. Good Luck with your new puppy and be patient!

Bring him to the vet. There are many causes why a puppy won't eat. If not try a very palatable food like bacon or whatever. If still same, the best is to bring him to a vet.

How long have you had him? A change in environment is very stressful for puppies. He's probably just scared. But if he goes for more than a day, take him to the vet.

You want to ask yourself a few questions first. How long has he not been eating? Is he more lethargic then normal? Is he moving his bowels alright? I wouldn't take any chances with a puppy. They are still so susceptible to illness. I would take the pup to the vet.

Not sure on the age, but if he goes for more than 24 hours without any food, try milk or water... No luck there... see a vet.
Some animals especially pups, suffer shock when removed from the litter to early,

Take him to the vet if it has been more than 12 hours. Small puppies can die quickly without proper nourishment, don't take a chance!
