They certainly seem to be a problem. Other than their caterwauling on megaphones five times a day, they are becoming indictrination centres for impressionable Muslims where their Imams fill them with Hate.
Wouldn't it be better for the Muslims, themselves, if we got them the freedom from these things? Wouldn't they get more human if they aren't forced to be so regimented? And more capable of adapting to their new homes in Countries like ours where they are now alienating themselves?
Without this influence, I think they'd get to be more broad minded and less "programmed" as they now are.and begin to fit in in our culture and lifestyle. I think that most of them are just being brainwashed and are, otherwise, quite decent fellows, if we can get this thing out of their minds.
We would, actually, be helping them free themselves, don't you think?
Hope I don't offend. It's a genuine thought.

Quite quaintly put, St Mike, but it does serve as an eye opener, doesn't it?
Thank you for your input.

Well, considering that you are speaking about England, where it's now heading towards becoming a suburb of Karachi, I'd say, YES.
Besides, the fact is that the mosques have been known to provide the rendezvous for the Terrorists and also indcotrination camps for kids!? Very few of them are known to be for the original stated purpose of worship.
They are, also, a violation of the Peace and Quiet of the locality with their megaphones and, while I respect their Religious sentiments, it's a crying shame that some have the immunity from the Laws that most of us have to follow, just on the excuse of legality.
I'm also certain that if you were to have the Mosques removed, threre would immediately be a backlash of senseless violence since the Muslims take every such Opportunity to commit such atrocities; because their "Religion" does make them somewhat mentally imbalanced when it comes to these subjects.
Take away the regimentation and the threat of death, and Islam will fade away like the bad nightmare it was.
Maybe some of the Muslims are decent people, but, I'd be very scared to try and find that needle in the haystack, I'm sorry.
Free themselves? Heck, think about freeing yourselve, man! England belongs to the English, not the Pakis!
Merry Christmas!!!!

I'm assuming from the way you spelled centre that you're English? You can't get rid of the mosques and allow the other churches to continue as well, at least not here in the States. Why should anyone be forced to live the way you do? Just because it's right for you doesn't make it right for everyone. Are you a religious person yourself? If so, would you appreciate someone trying to do that to your church, faith, and beliefs? Try putting the shoe on the other foot. See how it feels. I think it's a bit unfair to force people to do anything.

allthough i would not mind seeing ANY religious center being removed off the face of the planet, i must say, its an all or nothing game.
you cant deny one group its religion and let the other have its own.
the muslim religion is quite peacefull really, its just unfortunate that the leaders of this religion in the middle east are filling the young ppl there with hate.
good news is that we have decent ppl running the show over here in the states, so i wouldnt worry about it too much.
also, look at the christian fanatics, burning down and bombing abortion clinics, protesting and murdering homosexuals. whats the difference between them and the terrorists in the middle east? they are both acting out very radically against things they believe to be wrong, but yet we focus on the middle east more then we do the crazies on the homefront.
and trust me, this happens everyday in the states.

No; their religion is their religion and they can be as open or closed minded as they want to be. Many Muslim youths are more Americanized and hold both their religious values and their American beliefs very close to their hearts (my best friend does, I can tell you that for a fact).
If you were to get rid of every mosque to "free" the Muslims, you would also have to get rid of every synagogue to "free" the Orthodox Jews and get rid of every church to "free" the Evangelical Christians, right?

appreciate the effort but would not that be unlawful even though their is sense to openning the mind to ideas of freedom and the such. Ideology is hard to spread when religion brainwashes away the impact or stops it dead in the water.

You really want to start a Jihad don't you? If you think that Christians and Jews are bad..go right ahead and close them. They do not tolerate aetheists, agnostics, devil worshippers, wiccans and Mormons for plagerizing part of the Quran either! I'll be in my bunker when it's over.

Allah or Jesus?
By Rick Mathes
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.
The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn I directed my question to the Imam and asked: Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "Non-believers!"
I responded, So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to heaven. Is that correct? The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, Yes.
I then stated, Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to heaven! The Imam was speechless.
I continued, I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question-would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and wants you to be with me? You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, Rick, remember that the truth will prevail. And it will!
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
