are you forgetting things you learned in the past or things you saw/learned/heard/observed in the present? If you are forgetting what happened recently (as far as 24 hours ago) then it may be a matter of buillding up your short term memory skills. If you forgot something you knew for a long time and cant remember it again,. then there might be a concern. Depending on your past history, there may be many things you are experiencing from amnesia to states of fugue. Again if its short term memory, then it is just a matter of training your rote memory. There are many excercises for this like sentence repetition. A general psychological test can help pinpoint what areas of your memory recall are most deficient. Dont worry about it, many people go thru it. Many people are recommending Ginko Biloba for your memory problems which can help but you need to find out if you will have any adverse reactions to it due to your own chemistry. Even if the substance taken is not pharmaceutically provided, it may still be harmful to certain individuals.

memory has everything to do with hormones. Get an accurate hormonal test and talk to my friend Spice who is a health care practitioner who offers free info. Go to her web site and then click on Articles to learn more about health and you can e mail her to ask her that question and she will explain the cause of your high prolactin reading, which doctors don't practice cause and effect... they practice, "Let's see what kind of drug or hormone we can give you to mask a symptom" when in all reality... You are not eating right and I can guarantee that if you change the way you eat, high prolactin be gone and memory returns!- See web site source, below and please... don't forget to ask her.

ADHD has nothing to do with memory problems.. thats attention problems.. My son has ADHD..
You might just have memory problems due to something as simple as not getting enough sleep, or poor dietary habits..
Try eating more fiber, exersising more, and drinking more water.. If your body is dehydrated, that can be a problem also... Sometimes right around your menstral cycle hormonal fluxuations can cause you to feel like you are loosing your mind.. I am older, but I take evening primrose oil capsules to help my PMS symptoms

A lot of things can cause poor memory: poor nutrition, poor sleep habits, stress, depression. Vitamin B complex can sometimes help with memory and mild neurological problems. Try making a de-stressing zone for yourself where you can listen to quiet music or nature sounds. If you are spiritually inclined, try reading Psalms or quiet prayer. Shut off the sensory overload, and when your mind and spirit are calm then make a list that you can carry with you of things that need to be done that day. Also, there are memory courses that you can buy, or your library may have them that teach you tricks to help you learn how to remember.

Try doing Sudoku often. It helps to improve memory.
Memory is something that can be improved by mental exercise.

Loss of memory is also an early onset of ALS (Alzheimer disease). Don't think of the worst at the beginning. It is also hereditary. Did any of your immediate family had this and were treated?

Do your bit to improve memory and if you think it is not getting any better, then consult a doctor.

Hyperprolactinaemia: too-high levels of prolactin in the blood.

causes are:

1.) Prolactinoma:is a tumor of the pituitary gland. symptoms are usually is headache, eye problems and altered menstruation.

2.)Excess thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH), usually in primary hypothyroidism.

>>> HYPOTHYROIDISM CAUSES IMPAIRED MEMORY<<

this might help you.. but u know im not a doctor to diagnose you..

3.)A side effect of many anti-psychotic medications

( i dont know your medication history so.. i have no comment on this)

I don't know why you would say you're a virgin and rule out STDs and not say you're a smoker/non-smoker of marijuana. But, there are simple memory tests you can take (maybe your Guidance councilor at school can help).

If you're truly worried a neurologist would be the correct doctor to see.

Get occupational testing - ask your doctor. I forget things a LOT and it freaked me out - turns out after puberty I developed an auditory processing problem! I don't remember things well unless I write them down
