In Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14 the Bible tells us what meats are clean and what meats are unclean.I believe these guidlines are meant for the whole family of God. Why do the majority of our faith believe that he only wanted his Chosen, the Jewish to be healthy? wouldnt he want his extended family to keep themselves healthy to?

First you must understand the Law of Moses was for the nation of Israel, not Gentiles. Gentiles were never meant to live the letter of the LAW. We have the same law written in our hearts of what is right and wrong. It is no longer a eatting law. The only commandments in the New Testament were being baptized, Not eatting blood because of the Jews or things sacrificed to Idols, not really done today? Also to take communion and foot washing, these are the only New Testament commandments, but churches would have you believe that paying tithes is part of this but it is not for the early churches were more communal and had all things in common so there would be no need of tithes. They were all more like one family in each city

Because, throughout the Bible, and in many prophecies, we are taught that the Laws of the Old Testament were written for the Jewish people to follow, until the death of Christ would fulfill all the laws. Also, the Laws were given through Moses, ONLY for the Jews, not for the Gentiles. Until the death of Christ, Gentiles were not established as Gods people.

Also, John 1:17 says, (New Testament) that the Laws came through Moses, but Grace and Truth came from Jesus.

When the Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah and God offered His Son to be the sacrifice for the Gentiles as well He never told them they had to convert from their practices and start following Jewish law. The Bible says that all that is required is to call upon the name of Jesus to be saved. All it takes is a belief and an acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as your Savior. Men try to make it complicated. It's really very simple. God has had to go to "Plan B" more than once with us. First was Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden then the great flood of Noah's generation, the tower of Babel. I could go on & on. And you're forgetting the fact that the conditions under which that meat is raised & processed is much different than it was in Biblical times.

Israel are the chosen people of God because of the covenant God made with Jacob, blessed with the name Israel by God because he wrestled with God. Read Genesis.
Gentiles which are non Christians were grafted in. When Christ was teaching many Jews did not recieve Him as the Christ. If you read Acts you will see we were grafted in.

God was giving them those rules back them because they were the ones who listened. Men have always tried to live without God. He wants us to come volunteeringly to Him not by force. He gave the laws to those who were listening. But He does love us the Gentiles. Read Acts.

See Romans 14:20, which is in the New Testament - after Jesus has fulfilled the Levitical Law, and hence we are no longer subject to it.

"Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble."

Also, in Mark 16:18 when it talks about those who have faith in Jesus, it says

"they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

In this context, it means He will look after our physical well-being, if we concentrate on living the way He wants us to live - with love for all, and love for Him.

This was for keeping the Israelites healthy during their time in the wilderness. Not one was sick or feeble among them.
But later in the new testament it takes this to a new level when it says nothing to be refused as long as it is received with thanksgiving

These people were in the wilderness.
Half a million people out n the wilderness.

Did they suffer from the desease that we hear of today when a multitude of people are driven out in the wilderness of wide open spaces to try and survive?

God knew what to do to see his people through this thing.

The Law was crucified on the cross with Christ so it doesn't apply to us today. The Word also says what I have sanctified not to call common or unclean. It also says that if it cannot be done in faith by you then its sin, do follow you conscience when it comes to this matter.

Law changed in Acts. Just read that book and it will answer everything. However, it has been proven that there are significant health benifits to not eating the original unclean foods, but God said not to call anything unclean that he has made clean...just read Acts.
