I don't have a problem with atheists. I respect anybody's decision to choose a faith or shun them all. I have noticed that atheists do not like to be preached to. I have also noticed that a lot of atheists preach against religion, they practically try to convert you to non-religion. Has anybody else noticed this hypocrisy?

I'm not saying that all atheists get preachy, but there are enough of them that do. Some go out of their way to try to disprove the possibility of a God.

Yes many times, they slam believers for quoting scripture but they quote Richard Dawkins as if he has any authority. They call us brainwashed because we believe in an Intelligent Designer but can't see that they are brainwashed into thinking something else not provable is "truth". They say we have closed minds, yet they wont dare open their minds to the idea of God or an afterlife. They say we use circular reasoning yet, they ask the same exact questions over and over as if the answers will change somehow. They claim we cause all the worlds troubles yet its THEM who call us names and wish we were banned or dead.
This isnt the case with every Atheist but it seems to be the majority of the ones here.

There are a good deal of atiests that don't preach at all. You can't base your assumption on those that do preach because thay are usually the minority. There even exists a church of Athiests that focus on living morally and to appreciate life, since they believe that this is their only go at it. Might as well make the best of it and harm none while doing so. I used to be a pseudo-athiest because I thought it was the most scientifically credible approach, but I was miserable and new I had no more proof against god that I did in support of god. I think that these people who preach are probably like I was, trying to be suave in their own image, but ultimately cut off and isolated and miserable.

There are some unkind and uppity atheists in here and some "pios" and uppity christians as well. This is a forum for discussion and is public. Therefore you will see every manner of belief and attitude about everything in here. I'm a christian and I try to be nice. Sometimes it's hard. But yes I have noticed some of the atheists are practically evangelical in nature. Some are very reasonable but some are quite dogmatic. Rabid atheism happens in this forum.

Human tendancy is to want people to think the same way we do. I don't think atheists preach anymore then anyone else. It just seems they do so louder then others. I am Jewish and I hate when a born again Christian starts preaching to me and trying to shove their religion down my throat. I also hate when a vegetarian preaches to me that I should also be a vegetarian. Bottom line, to each their own. We are all individuals, all different, and we need to stop judging people for thinking differently then we do. Wouldn't life be boring if we all believed the same thing.

The existence of rely interior the universe is the only consistent, there is not some form of god that created it yet gods and goddesses are actively coming up existence varieties that could basically start to fill interior the enlargement of the cosmos. i've got confidence there has basically been existence right here in the international for one million years not one thousand million. one thousand million sounds incredibly previous yet there are people who scoff at carbon relationship. We too genuinely settle for what technology tells us yet they only have the prefer to make a non-end thread of widespread understanding they are in a position to all nod their heads to. human beings have been greater healthy 25,000 years in the past with the abundance of food for hunter gatherers and sometime a schism will happen between anti and professional technologies and so my faith believes we could have a sustainable international economic equipment to handle the selection of the destiny. I even have confidence there could be a inhabitants cap. So the terrific element to do is make up your guy or woman faith like I did and it suits me purely super

We simply defend our beliefs. Many Christians are very ignorant in the subject of Atheism. How many times do you read people saying that we will go to hell or that we have no morals? The only way to defend ourselves against such slander is fight back. It's no hypocrisy, it's just a defense mechanism.

I have noticed, I go to Yahoo Christian Chat and find many atheists there trying to convince everyone that there is no God, it really makes them seem stupid, If you are a atheist why go to a christian chat room and make a fool of yourself or anywhere else for that matter.

I'm neither.
I don't believe in anything.
I do not disrespect in anyone who believes in anything either.
What they believe in is none of my business.
By the way
Christianity does the same things.
They both goes against Atheism and tries to convert them.
They're both doing the same thing.

Yes.
In a way, atheism is a religion in its own right.
They have rules: there is no God.
Beliefs: there is no God ...
And their morals are based on the belief that there is no God.
The fact that they try to convert is pretty funny, considering they continue to say, there is no God. Who is their God then? Themselves?
