I like this girl and we have great chemistry. We've been on a couple of dates. She has hurt someone in the past and has seen relationships end in the demise of friendships and doesn't want to go through that hardship herself.
I know that she wants a family but she says she isn't ready for a relationship now.
I completely understand her stance on this topic, but I also know that it doesn't make sense to hide for fear that something isn't going to work out, when there is a good chance that it might and something great might also come of it.
What do I do?
Also, do I continue to hold her hand? Rub her arm, leg, play with her hair? Ask her on dates?
Also, I understand, kinda:
What she's really saying is "Uh, get away from me now," or possibly "Try harder, stupid," but which one is it?
