This is a common Muslim prayer, called Surah Al-Fatihah (The Opening Chapter):
1. In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
2. All praises be to God, the Lord of the worlds.
3. The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
4. Ruler of the Day of Judgement.
5. To You alone we worship and to You we ask for help.
6. Show us the Straight Path.
7. The path of those who You bestowed blessings upon, not the path of those who You are angry with, and not the path of those who have went astray.
Amen.

I was always taught that praying is, simply said, "talking to God".
So just try to just sit still and talk to Him. He's listening. Open up and tell Him what's on your mind and ask for help and for peace in your life. You might start out with something like "Hi God. It's me. I know it's been awhile since I talked to You, but here goes... ".
I also will say a prayer for you tonight as I go to sleep in a little while.

The best prayers, the ones God listens to are the ones given from the heart of the person praying. Repeating a written prayer like a mantra is nothing but noise.

"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifice unto me?Saith the Lord I am full of the burnt offerings of rams and th fat of fed beasts and I delight no in the blood of bulls or cows or lambs or goats. When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you when ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood." Isaiah 1:11, 15 "He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." Isaiah 66:3 Pray for the souls of all the slaughtered animals.

Oh Great Spirit
Let your voice whisper rightouness in our ear through the west wind in the late of the day.
Let us be comforted with love for our brothers and sisters with no war.
Let us hold good health mentally and physically to solve our problems and accomplish something for future generations of life.
Let us be sincere to our selves and to our youth and make the world a better place to live. Amen.

There is a god of whom my prayers
poor as I am boon no request
I watch the world and it's affairs
cherish the good forget the rest
and pleasure however preists may prate
my modest creed does not offend
gaily I drink and give my fate
to god the good folks friend
what god a god of anger? pooh!
he made al and loves all he made
the wine he gives dear friends to you
and love his creating aid
the joys of all these dissipate
in nightmares preists rejoice to send
gaily I drink and give my fate
to god the good folks friend
A conquering despot drunk with power
nations and dynasties downflings
the dust his chargers proud hooves showers
begrimes the sacred brows of kings
crawl on crawl on ye fallen great
what wreck I how your glories end?
gaily I drink and give my fate
to god the good folks friend

Heavenly Father, I call on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that I was created. Every breath I take, every morning I wake, adn every moment of every hour I live under your power.
Father I ask you now to touch me with that same power, for if you created me from nothing you can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in me. Mend what is broken, root out any unproductive cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.
Let the warmth of your healing, Love, pass through my body to make new any unhealthy areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
And Father restore me to full health in mind and body so that I may serve you the rest of my life
Amen

Prayers are nothing more than wishes. You are not talking to anyone, as god is imaginary. Prayers have no affect on anything. No one has ever been healed by prayer, the outcome of any sporting event has not been affected by prayer, and no one has ever won the lottery because they prayed for it.
