The 7.5L V8 is a gasoline engine. Yes they are VERY strong engines with plenty of power and torque. Expect to pay a premium at the pumps though. That was the LARGEST gasoline engine available in that model year.

The 7.5 is the 460 and it is Gas. Even towing a heavy load it'll pass everything on the road--but a gas station. in 1991 the Diesel was the 6.9 Turbo Diesel. the 7.3 Non-Powerstroke Turbo Diesel came out in 92 and the PSD wasn't available until 95.

Dear ETHOL,
The 7.3 Powerstroke turbo diesel didn't come out till the later part of 1994.
The 7.5 is a 460 gas engine
