Read Rodney Stark's book "The Victory of Reason." It talks about how Christianity has actually IMPROVED the progress of science, the arts, and even the idea of capitalism.
Christianity wasn't the cause of the Holocaust; even the most secular scholars can argue against that one. Hitler was the cause of the Holocaust and he certainly wasn't a Christian despite his "beliefs" in a Lord.
The Medieval Ages wasn't the result of Christianity but progress in time. Christianity is not an old idea, either. Time has considered to prove Christianity through prophecy and history.
Besides, banning faith is against the First Amendment to the Constitution. You can't ban faith; how would you like it if someone banned atheism? The Soviet Union banned Christianity and look what happened to them.

No, coz USA was Liberated coz of Christianity too. Don't forget your ancestor. How ever, Christianity really does problem in medieval ages (CrossWar), but don't in holocaust. Holocaust just something personal to Hitler himself. And, Crosswar is over. Every people ever to make a mistake, so the Christianity.
Christianity slows scientific? No. Christianity make sure that scientific grows not to doomed the scientist their self. But the scientist was too naive to said that Christianity banned them. Still don't get it? Try to figure this out: You have a son that trying to burn his own shirt (he wear it). What in your son's brain is, he's discovering what's going on if he try it. But, what is in your brain? That's sucidal! Isn't what you think? So does the Christianity, and other religion (Islamic, Buddhist, etc) works in these modern scientific progress.
If you said Christianity was too old, THAT"S CORRECT. But, the older is wiser. And,Christianity never late. Easy example: 1Corinth13:"even i gave myself to be burn, if I don't have Love, it's nothing." Well, it was written for these 20century lifestyle. How many people gave their body to be burn via bomb blast? Do they have love? No no, not love, but 'Love'?
So, Christianity never late.

Why?
That would not be fair and is not what this country is all about.
If ban christianity why not ban all religions then?
All religions have some good (for some people) and bad (for some other people), mostly because all of them are pure human imagination, from the stone age when by chance, some started to take advantage of others by pretending to see things others could not, so those became empowered.
And it continues to this date.
The debilitade mass, who needs a reason to live on, tend to believe on some who pretend to have all the answers.
But anyway, people should be free to believe on whatever they want, even if that kills them.
Some believed on Bush, and now want to ban him.
It does not work that way.

It isn't Christianity that has caused the problem, it is how people react within it. If you look at it that way, you could ban Germans because they caused a lot of problems too.
Granted, a lot of Christians have caused problems. But a lot have also done a lot of good. It's about the person, not the beliefs. Christianity doesn't teach us to hurt anyone, when understood correctly. It teaches to love. Is that what should be banned?

Might I inquire as to the veracity of your brain cells? They seem to be a bit under developed.
If we changed the first amendment to ban Christianity, then it would only be fair that all religions, including the religion of no religion be banned.
It was not Christianity that caused the dark ages, it was paganism masquerading as Christianity.
Please inform us all, exactly HOW Christianity is responsible for the Holocaust? Is it because Hitler was a Catholic? Catholic is not Christian, sorry.
It slows the progress of science? There are some very fine CHRISTIANS on the cutting edge of science and also research and development.
IT is the Catholic church that kept us from scientific discovery's not Christianity.
SO, if a single religion must be sacrificed to your god of science then lit it be the one that is, and avows to be, the hindrance to science, namely the Roman Catholic Church!
You should change your avitars name to -200 iq.

Sure! And while we're at it let's eliminate the rest of the Constitution. Who needs freedom? Let's enslave the minds AND bodies of everyone in America. After all, we certainly don't deserve our freedom, do we? Just look at what we've done to the rest of the world. Spread technology and entertainment everywhere, globalized many societies into a single mega society capable of controlling every individual with a job, and now we're polluting the world and the space near the earth. Heck. Let's just wipe humanity from the planet. That'll fix everything.

No Christianity should not be baned.
I'll pray for you.
Maybe it's not that Christianity is Too old for the modern world but instead that you are too immature for Christianity and this world, seeing that most of the world is some kind of Christian or believe in some kind of Higher Being. Maybe you should try Christianity, it might help you be a better person.

Have you ever read what is happening in China where Christianity is illegal? People are meeting in houses and under ground, the Church is growing every day. The Government lock Pastors up, but it does no good. The church in China is growing larger, and they are very strong in their faith.
In former Communist Russia the same thing happened, and they killed Pastors there.
Evey time a Government "bans" Christianity it does nothing but cause growth in the Church. So go ahead we will do nothing but grow larger, and larger, until the Government either reinstates our rights or the Government falls.

No way! And how is Christianity involved with the Holocaust? I think that you are getting Christianity and Judaism mixed up. And Jews didn't cause the Holocaust either - that was Hitler.

Yeah, lets just tell people they can't believe in God anymore. Great.
Don't think for one second that banning Christianity would do any good, the world is full of difference, so we'd find something to go to war about.
I believe in God, and don't care if you do or don't.
