I just watched an episode of Flip that House today, and instead of having a standard long bathroom mirror, they hung 3 framed mirrors like you would normally find in a living room or bedroom. It looked really upscale and unique. Go for it!
I dont think it would get ruined. I have had a full length, very cheap cardboard backed mirror in my bathroom for years and it is fine.

There are some good construction adhesives out there that would work but personally I wouldn't use them, over time it too may become loosened from drying out &/or the steam in a bathroom from bathing & showering. My 1st suggestion is to hang it the same as a heavy picture, you can buy a picture hanging kit very cheap almost anywhere. Glue the picture hanger(s) on the back of the mirror with a very good glue, attach the wall hook(s) to the wall but in the grout joints only. That way it can be easily removed if you ever what to change it or remodel. You could try those self-stick pads or self-stick velcro pads too but I'm not sure the glue on those will hold up for long in a steamy bathroom. To properly drill a hole through tile and not crack or break the tile: 1. Use a masonry drill bit only (no other), and it has to be a sharp one, not an old one that is dull. 2. Use a drill only & do not use a hammer drill on any tile. 3. Drill the hole using little pressure on the drill bit, just enough to keep the drill bit against the tile and cutting/drilling, let the drill bit do the work for you. It will take a few minutes to drill through but it will do the job and not damage the tile.

you can use that mirror, but the cardboard backing will probably absorb moisture from shower or bath steam. If it ends up not drying out completly it might start to mildew. If you start smelling something funny in your bathroom, look behind the mirror. ;)

NO PROBLEM, ANY HARDWARE STORE WILL HAVE MIRROR HANGING KITS BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE MIRROR. IF YOU CAN REMOVE THE BACK CARDBOARD WITH THE KITS OR NEAR BY THERE IS TWO SIDED MASTIC THAT IS USED ON THE BACK OF THE MIRRORS WHICH STICK TO THE WALL FOR ADDITIONAL FASTENING
