I can save music files onto a CD, but if i try saving a jpg or any image file, or video file, or any other file other than a music file it says "There was an error in the writing process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be usable", yet I can save music to them, and also, its not just one CD, i tried over 5 different brand new CD's and they all get this message, why? and how can I fix this?

Ummm this seems too obvious to me, but when you burn a cd with music on it are you selecting "Audio CD"? What program are you using to burn cds? How many audio files are you able to fit on one cd, if its around or less than 20, then your definately making an audio cd and need to swich the CD type. A Data CD can hold over 100 Computer music files

If its windows media player, then your automatically burning files in Audio cd format

Try using The generic windows burning software. Basically Insert the disc, Autorun will ask what you would like to do. Hit Open Folder. drag all the files youd like on the CD there and hit burn

I could be wayy off the mark here, but yeah.. give me some more info man what software are you using
