We already have three, but our son wants another one. (He wasn't yet born when we aquired the first three.) We have a pretty small house --1300 sq feet, though the cat box is in the garage, so it doesn't smell catty. Would another one push us into "crazy cat people" territory?

No dont get another cat. You didnt say how old your son is, but unless he is old and mature enough to take care of it himself, you dont need another one. Im guessing he still loves the cats you have, so ultimately another cat would just be another mouth to feed, and mose poop to clean up

And if i know cat people, You already are a crazy cat person ;-)

He must want a cat to play with because the other cats are older and out of the playful kitten stage. Problem with that, you get a new kitten and it will also grow out of the playful kitten stage as well after it gets about a year old.

I don't think it would..it seems you are able to care for 3 and i am sure you know how to properly clean your house. Just make sure to get the cat checked out first before you bring it home by the local vet!

no way crazy cat people are at least like 5 or 6, a forth cat wont hurt, let him enjoy playing with the kittens, its fun for kids!!

Not really i would love lots of cats.

But you might want to check with city ordinance.. I know the town we live in you can only have so many of each pets, then it becomes a violation (of what really I don;t know, at least they have a home, but many don't know about this law)... call your local humane society.

Sounds weird I know, but i think alot of it has to do with the area (space) they have to grow in.

It takes six cats to put you into "crazy cat people" territory, so go for it.

Well I say go for it as long as you can provide them a good home and make sure they are taken care of ie up on shots and fixed so they dont have dozens of babies
