I'm going to visit Beijing during the coming lunar new year next February. Anyone knows how cold the weather in Beijing during mid-February?

Mid-February is the end of the Winter in Beijing, still chilly but not too bad. Actually the literal translation of Chinese New Year is "Spring Festival" which means to celebrate the beginning of the Spring! That's the real traditional and most important festival in China like the Christmas here! You can smell the holidays even in the air!

Cold and probably wet.

Last year I was in Feb in Beijing for a couple of hours and the temperature was minus 4 degrees Celcius (about 24 Fahrenheit). The city was covered with snow.

It will be cold, I arrived in Beijing at the end of March this year, and it was just above 0 C. For the start I think that it would be very cold, at the moment it is peaking around about -5C I suggest that you bring some warm clothes and a woodly hat and some gloves.

Man, February is the coldest month in Beijing! It's the time when the Siberain snow starts to melt so the air masses go below zero.

I see long underwear in your future.

It will be cold! If you are very lucky high temp may be 5 degrees Celcius, but it's more likely to be 0 or below at that time of year.

wet and intensely cool if not chilly. often times windy. probability of snow. may well be friendly in case you get a sunny day yet those at the instant are not uncomplicated. would not be maximum folk's theory of the terrific climate for traveling Vancouver, yet on the different hand that's in all probability slightly greater decrease priced and greater handy to get a hotel than it quite is in summer.
