I normally identify myself as an atheist, but I think your question is too vaguely worded.

We all agree that the stories of the Greek and Roman gods are myths. Some of us believe the Hebrew Bible is of the same genre, i.e. also myth.

I think that all of the stories that mankind tells about gods are myths. But who knows? There might actually be a god. If so, it just seems that she has chosen to not reveal herself except through the laws of nature.

Considering that the Vatican won't let the shroud be tested again (the first time it was tested, the scientists were only allowed to take a small piece from the ends; those were found to be dated back to the time of Divinci, who was said to have "invisible" brush strokes) leads many people believe that it is not from Jesus or even the time of Jesus. I guess the Vatican is too worried that science is going to disprove the whole thing and then they'll lose all thier followers and when they lose all thier followers they'll lose all thier money. So sad, too bad.

If you see it from this point of view it sounds like a children's fable...

There was a women who said an angel spoke to her and told her she was going to have a baby. This baby grew up and performed magic turning water into wine and making bread appear out of nowhere! But people thought he was a trouble maker because he said he was the son of God, so they killed him. But since he was magic he came back to life and went to heaven. The End.

Do you believe He's a myth? There are certainly tons and tons of myths about God and his relationship with us.

It is for each of us to decide if He is indeed real, or mythical however.

No a myth is believed to be untrue and most people like myself believe God to be true. God's not a myth, he's a faith.

You will get a lot of different answers on this website - there is a way that you can get a definite answer for yourself.

Next time you are at home by yourself, kneel down at the end of your bed, bow your head, and simply pray "God if you are real, then reveal yourself to me in my life".

Nobody ever has to know - if He is real then you'll find out, if He's not - then no harm done...

A redundant question you should be asking Father God. He can answer for Himself.
