I've been trying to find info on Masahiro (forge?) online and I can't seem to find a lot. Are these good quality swords? I notice they are a lot cheaper than Hanwei Paul Chen swords and that kind of made me shy away for a bit. Someone please help me out!

Not sure whether your talking of a brand of sword or a general type of construction.

I can speak on the Paul Chen swords though. I personally do not like them. I have found a few other blades by other companies that are better made and less expensive. Paul Chen makes a great sword, don't get me wrong. Just not for me. They tend to be end weighted a little more than some others and their available lengths aren't my cup of tea. However, it is great craftsmanship and from an appreciation stand point I wouldn't mind owning one. From a cutting stand point though, I wouldn't take it. Again, just my personal feel here. If your serious about obtaining a cutting weapon find one that you can hold and feel first. After construction quality is addressed, it should feel "right" in your hands. You're the one swinging it.

Masahiro is one of good brands that are selling cheap swords. They have this legendary Masahiro Bamboo Katana that was just around $60 and could beat swords that has a price of a 100-200 dollar mark.

However I cannot find the website for the forge itself. If you want to buy a cheap katana, then I recommend Musashi Brands.
