It sounds like Alzheimer's Disease. There isn't any cure. But, there is help and treatment. Not sure, but I think a Neurologist is the right specialist.

You need to talk your grandmother to the doctor. It could be Alzheimer's disease or a form of dementia, but it could also be that she's had a small stroke without knowing it. You need to find out why she's having these problems so she can get proper treatment.

You should really contact a her doctor, they will tell you what's wrong. It could be Alzheimers Disease, or plain old age or she could of had a stroke she wasn't aware about, the only way to find out is to contact a professional. Good luck, i hope it's nothing serious.

Please have her assesed by the doctor, and ask for a referral to a specialist in Geriatrics. Most likely its dementia or Alzheimers, however if its been coming on quickly rather than over a long time, it could be a tumor or stroke. She needs immediate medical attention. Good luck.

A neurologist will be able to sort out what is causing her dementia, and advise appropriate treatment. There are several disease processes that cause dementia, so don't lose hope!
