This weekend I went drinking with my guy friend and we ended up messing around. I found out he has feelings for me, but I really don't want a relationship with him. It was a mistake, and I just want to go back to being friends. Is this possible?

Okay thats why we dont intoxicate ourselves to the point where we will regret our decisions. Eventually when you drink you have to face reality. In this case there was a lost relationship. You cannot go back all you can do is move on he has feelings and he needs to get over it. First explain it to him he will withdraw from you because he will feel used(which he was) and thats hard for a guy to overcome. Have faith but dont expect for things to patch up right away. I dont support drinking because it leads to poor judgment and what if it was someone you didnt know and you had to face losing your life. Hate to be harsh but its going on 2007 and its not safe anymore.....Good luck

Yes you can! I have been in this position (cept i was the one with the feelings)
My friend was straight out honest with me and for a week or so when i saw i was evidently awkward (despite trying not to be!) and i would only see him around groups of people... But once you accept it and deal with it, it wasn't so bad... the first couple of 'only us' encounters were alittle weird but all worked out now and we are just as we used to be

So if your honest straight up, don't play any games, all you gotta do is wait for him to come around

Yeap!!! But don't do it unless ur comfy doin it!!!! 1 guy i messed with afterwards and to this day we're super cool, you GOTTA tell him! If you u value the friendship otherwise u could settle for the associate title and then eventualy upgrade to friends or downgrade to a person i know!

If he has feelings for you then he'll always have feelings for you. He may say ok to being friends, but he'd date you in a heartbeat and will secretly want to be with you. He may act as a friend, but he'll always want more and anytime you kid around with him, he may take it the wrong way and think that you're developing feelings for him too. Its a weird thing, but if you're comfortable with him always longing for you then it will be ok.

As long as no feelings were brought to the surface, yes, it's possible.

Be honest. It might break him, but you must be honest. Nothing's worse than a false relationship.

Or you could go out for one day. See how it turns out. Who knows, you might enjoy it more than you think.

yeah......
really depends on the other person and how they felt and/or how willing they are to accept that it was a mistake as well.
things don't have to be awkward
move on
