Yes, they can work together again. There is no reason why they can't get along.

Okay here goes!!!!! If you look at the history of the Church ie. Christianity, it was in the same place 500 years ago as Islam is today, and judism for the most part seems to have just been doing it's own thing. Once Islam religion matures they'll realise there's room for many diverse opionins and start working with people of other religions, Christianity although not evident from the replies Christians post may be on the verge of recognising this truth.

Given the influence of Mesopotamian mythology, Egyptian mythology, Judaism, Greek mythology, Roman mythology, and paganism on the Catholic theology, I look at the whole picture. And if Jesus fulfilled the prophesies of the coming of the Messiah, I have not gotten that deep into it as I did not study the Old Testament to the extent that I studied the New Testament. And if I took the time to research and analyze, I would risk the possibility of rejecting Jesus as the son of God, and then most likely become a Jew. Once a Jew, then I would have to learn Hebrew and Yiddish not to feel intellectually inferior to those Jews that speak/read/write those languages. This has not yet become a priority.

When I look into myself, I say yes, why not, we all believe in the same God anyway...
But then when I read some answers, I just can't help but see how much some people are closed minded..
Some other are really great, they can actually live with human being's hearts, loving, forgiving, and excepting to listen and understand others.
More of those kinds, and the world will be a better place...
Peace.
Edit:
Thank you, Common sense for proving my point.
Peace.

they worked together - but not with love or tolerance. By forcible circumstances.
members of the 3 faiths did not socialize or mingle outside of the library and work areas. they lived in separate ghettos. they lived very separate lives.
the christians eventually rebelled and threw out the Muslims on their a.s.s. later the jews were kicked out too.
It was not so lovey-dovey or cozy like you make it out to be,
Under islamic rule and under turkish Ottoman rule, the christians suffered great torments and misery and POGROMS. the jews were treated somewhat better but still despised and merely tolerated , not beloved. but the christians were stepped on daily.
the world will have peace only when all Muslims convert and are baptised. jesus christ will force them to obey his Divinity and to convert.

I think it's kind of barbaric the way they used to kill each other in hand to hand combat and swords. The impersonal long distance missiles, bombs, and bullets are more civilized.
The One True Religion do not got to war by any means.

"Small" problem. Islam denies the divine nature of Jesus, Son of the one true God, and path to salvation.
Islam also demands total submission to islam. If a person doesn't submit to islam, they are required to pay extortion or be put to death (yup, it's in Big Mo's book the qur'an).
I really doubt that they worked as closely together as you write (gloss may be the more appropriate term).
