well my friend is trying to hook me up with this guy. i am not going to lie. he is kind of ugly. but i am not shallow. i want to go with him. anyway. at lunch she was showing him who i am. and he had no reaction. is that a good or bad thing and also he wants me to go u to him tommorow and tell him i like him. is that a good or bad thing? wat can you infer from this?

He's probably hiding his reaction trying to look cool or something.
Why would you tell that you like when you don't even know him.
Try talking to him first.
Just say, "my friend so&so said she thought we should get to know each other", or some such thing.
Be yourself and see what happens. If you're "real" you'll never have to second guess how you handled yourself.
If you feel good when you talk to him then talk some more.
If not, at least you'll know it wasn't a good match.
But for God's sake don't go out with anyone you don't think you'll have fun with just to prove to yourself or anyone else you're not shallow.

Ok, it sounds as if you're trying to let him down gently here. I think this guy's into you. He wants you to go to him and tell him that you like him? Maybe he doesn't believe that he's getting hooked up with a beautiful girl like you. Therefore he needs to see and hear things with his own eyes and ears.
However, I do not understand why you have accepted your friend's hooking you up with a guy you do not really like. If you don't like a guy or don't accept a date, it doesn't mean that you're being shallow. Think about it as being sincere.
Now what's done is done. If you WILL go out with this guy, try to have a friendly outing with him without letting him down. If he'll start showing that he likes you more than just a friend, then there's only one option for you. Tell him that you have accepted this date just because you are missing a male friend in your life.

Sounds like you are very young. Also sounds like you are going on this date because you are just looking for some company and maybe it is the same situaiton for him. Go on the date. The worst that could happen is that you dont like eachother.On the other hand you may hit it off. But I certainly wouldnt go to him and tell him you like him, because that isnt true. You dont know if you like him yet. If you feel you have to say something to him, just say you are interested in going out sometime. Some people that arent necessarily attractive on the outside, become very attractive because of thier carisma or personality. Same goes for the guys who you think are gorgeous. Their personality may stink and it makes them ugly.
