Yes, I would. My boyfriend and I started dating one week before Christmas nearly 2 years ago. I bought him a ring, nothing too fancy or expensive it was more just a token gift.
We were unsure what to do so I asked him! and we agreed to buy each other small gifts.
Just casually ask him if he was wanting to do christmas gifts for each other this year.
If he is interested, don't go overboard just buy something small and thoughtful.
How about:
- a CD/DVD he's been really wanting.
- an inexpensive piece of jewelry
- a shirt/jumper
- maybe a video game he's been talking about wanting to get
- a bottle of his favourite alcoholic drink
- something that represents an inside joke the two of you have
- something funky and unusual from the local markets that you think he'd like.
Good luck and have a good Christmas!
-Elise

I would. But make it something small, and a non-clothing item because more often than not a guy takes a girl buying him clothes, socks, undies, or cologne, as a serious attachment issue. This early in the relationship I don't suggest spooking him. A book, a CD, tickets to something fun to do together, or even a homemade gift such as IOU tickets for dinner or games, or hot sex if that's what you're into.
You've spent time together for over a month, there's no sense in denying yourself the pleasure of shopping for the sweetie in your life. However, don't freak out if he doesn't buy you something...sometimes even someone you've been seeing for over seven years doesn't always remember to get you a gift.

Keeper or not, no present. You can mail him a Christmas card. He may get the idea you are pushing too hard if you give him a gift. Besides, he would then feel like he had to get you one. Just wait a little while and if he gives you a gift, then maybe you could give him one, but etiquette suggests this would not be a good idea... you would appear needy.

I would buy him something definitely. Just pay attention to what he says he likes or wants, and buy it when he's not with you.
Even if he doesn't buy you anything, you'll be prepared and it'll show him that you care about him.

I would say yes. That is enough time to buy something small at least. Most likely he will get you something too.
