I've learned that God only came to one group of people. The same people who started the farming in the Fertile Crescent. The people who have spread all over the world. The people who have taken the simple life they had for granted, and wanted power. The people who think that this world is theirs to conquer. The people who are us.

I'm sure that those farmers in the Fertile Crescent were not the only people around. There were several other thousands of groups of people all around the world, and God only came to them. Why? Does that make sense to you? If God is all-loving then why did he only choose one group of people to come to?

Not only did he choose a single group, but he did not choose wisely. These people thought that they had the one right way to live, when in fact there is no such thing. There is no right way to live. Humans don't come with an instruction manual on how to live their life when they are born.

So back to my original question, Why did he choose us?

>>"These people thought that they had the one right way to live, when in fact there is no such thing. There is no right way to live. "<<

lets see, when your culture and traditions avoid or have much less issue with almost every plague, disease, biological and social problem that hit almost every culture in the worlds, then maybe your doing something right.

there are right and wrong ways to do things.

why did he pick only one group? maybe they are the only ones who'd have him.

and the reality of things contradicts what it seems like your trying to imply. like for example you know that judaism made rules against evangelizing? jewish facilitys are and as far as I've heard of, pretty much since the temple have been relatively humble affairs, (relatively speaking)

is there something wrong with ambition to be sucessful? does happening to gain degrees of power as part of that sucess mean power hungry? no.

and don't you find it rather arrogant to claim that you can determine what the best choice is over the determination of an omniscient being's choice?

Who did He choose and why wasn't I told? LOL

Look, there are many faiths out there that believe they are the Chosen Ones. It's one reason I have such trouble with my own faith.

I think God came to us all, just in different forms and through our free will, we get to decide how we honor and worship Him.

Believing that you are the only true chosen people of God leads to believing other humans are less than you are. That leads to believing it's OK to exploit, kill, enslave them.

We all know it's not OK, so why go there? Having a different view of God doesn't make someone else wrong and you right. I believe God is infinite and so multi-faceted beyond our abillity to comprehend.

Worship God in your own way, with your own beliefs but allow that others might come to Him in their own ways.

Do you mean the Jewish people? They were the first on earth. The garden of Edom was in Asia. They were the first here. He chose them because Abraham was rightous and He decided to save all through Abraham's seeds.. He came to other people but they chose to keep worshiping the other gods. Did you not see every miracle in the Bible was to show people that God was the only God?. For example he used a seed of Abraham (Joseph) and also Moses to try and show the Egyptians that He is God through all the miracles going on there.

God revealed his message to all people some are averse to the truth. Your question isn't clear who do you mean by 'us'?

[005:048] And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad [Peace be Upon Him]) the Book (this Qur'ân) in truth, confirming the Scripture (Books) that came before it and Muhaiminan (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures). So judge among them by what God has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If God had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to God; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.

God dont need to come to earth. He has created us given us the understanding of good and evil. If he wills he can make all humans good from His Throne in the Heaven. He sent down messengers to every place on the earth to show us the right way. Some people listened and understood and some chose not to listen to these prophets. And based on our decision we are gonna be judged.

If the Almighty has power to create the universe, the angels, the heavens and the humans simply by saying "BE" then he has power to change our heart simply by saying "BE". He dont need to decend to earth or give birth to a son and send him to die on earth just because we chose not to follow his commandments.

If you don't believe that God gave us an "instruction manual" (the Bible) then where did you learn that He chose anyone? What are you basing that assumption on?

To be SURE that He did chose "us" (you), then you should check out His revelation of Himself and why He chose certain people to be or do specific things.

First, he chose Abraham and made promises to abraham. Some of those promises had to de with his descendants. Godd can be trusted to fulfill His words.

Then God made promises to the descendants of Abraham. You can find these in Genesis. If you go to Genesis 48, you will see that God had plans for the descendants of the so called 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob) and He kept His promises through their generations.

One of those sons of Jacob was Judah. And Judah was promised to have Shiloh come through it. He was also promised 'the scepter.' Which was rulership.

Now if you think that God chose poorly I would offer you this little bit of wisdom. Be not too quick to Judge Him. Instead, judge yourself. For if you cannot see that you yourelf also fall short of trust in God, you have some hard lessons to learn in life, and I hope that you do. Because we are typically doubters of God. We can't see, so we lose trust. God wants our trust, in fact, we must have trust, in order to please Him.

Krishna also known as Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. says in the Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) "Whenever their is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost, I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth." He has appeared many times and sent many sons so I don't know where you get your limited idea of God from.

What do you mean "us"?
God would never choose someone that thinks like that.
You have to be very special to be chosen by God.
It's very different than to be chosen to be sent to hell or heaven.

You have to be someone like Jesus to be chosen by God and you're no where near him.
