Migraines are a neurological disease. You need to talk to your doctor about what's best for you. If they're mild, sometimes over-the-counter medications such as Excedrin can help, but be careful not to use them more than 2 or 3 days a week because that can cause headaches called rebound headaches.

There are now excellent prescription medications available that can actually work in the brain to stop migraine attacks. The best known of those meds is Imitrex, but there are seven drugs in that class now -- Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, Amerge, Axert, Relpax, and Frova. Doctors have samples of these drugs so you can try them before filling a prescription.

Try to figure out what's triggering ;your migraines. It could be something you could avoid.

If you're nauseous, you might try ginger ale or peppermint for the nausea until you have a chance to talk with your doctor.

Just know that there are a lot of things you can do for migraines these days. You don't just have to put up with them.

Good luck!

Take:
Tylenol: Pain relief and fever reducer.
OR
Tylenol Extra Strength.
After, go to sleep.

Also you might be getting headaches from school. Whenever I learn something new in school, I get a headache because of all that information.I don't know why, but I get a headache EVERY Friday.

I too get migranes sometimes, what works for me is to take 2 excedrin for migranes and have a hot cup of tea, or coffee as soon as I feel it comming on. If I cant prevent it, laying down in a dark room with a cool cloth on my forehead helps.
Excedrin is a godsend for this because it has caffine in it.
Also, chocolate has caffine in it : ) Always a good thing when chocolate can help cure a headache, Lol.

Depends on what type of a headache it is. If it is a general headache you can take over the counter Ibuprofen 200mg *Up to 4 of them in a 8 hour period* Or Tylenol 500mg *up to 3 in 8 hour period* otherwise if it is a true Migrane, then you can take Excedrin Migrane *Also over the counter*, which has caffine in it, and follow the recomened dosage on the back of the bottle. If this is a constant headache *like 2-3times a week*, I recommend speaking to a doctor.

Head on is all natural and it really works well. Also just a nice dark room always works too. Tea tree oil on the back of your neck or vicks vapor rub works too..you can put it on your pressure points on your body. Excedrin helps alot but the caffeine keeps you up. Stay away from msg that helps too. Maybe a nice massage around your temples and deep breathing when it really hurts. Sorry to hear you have so much pain. I hope you find a solution that works for you!
