My girlfriend has a bird and it is really hard to remove the crap from the wire cage and anywhere it gets even after just a few days. She uses tray liners but i was wondering if there is a trick like spraying the cage with something that would keep it from sticking or a product that would make clean-up easier, but be safe for the bird

You can go to your local Petco, and try this:

Poop-Off Bird Poop Remover

Non-toxic and biodegradable instantly dissolves bird droppings and removes even the toughest stains from cages, perches, clothing, upholstery, carpet, and all washable and painted surfaces. Removes droppings from all types of avian diets. Offered in a variety of sizes.

The poop off spray works really good during cold months. In the summer it is really easy to clean the cage with my tiel in it. He loves the shower and I can wipe his cage clean. My tiel only poops in certain areas of his cage making it easier to clean when I notice. When he is out of his cage clean up is a lot easier. Wish I had the patience my sister did to potty train her tiel. Petey only went in one spot, (my sisters tiel). Sorry no trick, but maybe someone reading this will enlighten us on any new product. Oh one other thing the poop spray works in seconds when you notice a poop that has been there quite a while. Great question for us... Thank you.

"A few days" is too long between cleanings. Try cleaning it more often.
