What do you mean "overcome"? If you mean "how do you get rid of your period", you can have surgery but then you won't be able to have kids later. Your only other option is to wait until you're like, 55 or something... it's just something that girls have to deal with...
If you just started for the first time... then get some pads/tampons and some tylenol for stomach cramps. It's gonna happen every month for about 3 to 5 days... just grin and bear it.

Like just stated, hysterectomy.
Just take the whole uterus out! That'll teach your period a lesson.
No, really, you can't. It's there no matter what you do. The only ways you wouldn't get it, would be if you were pregnant, extremely sick, extremely stressed, diseased, going through menopause.
just learn to live with it dear.
Drink more water & exercise. Take aspirin or Midol if you need.

Check a health food store, natural foods grocery store, or herb shop and get some Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (or capsules). It supports female reproductive system and keeps that part of you very healthy. Mild diuretic, no side effects. Helps alleviate bloating, cramps, and can be used throughout pregnancy (fyi).

Periods suck but its very important you get them. Not only so you can have children but a woman needs to shed the lining of their uterus. Thats where all the clots come from. If they didn't come out there, they could get lodged somewhere else in your body...lungs, heart etc. and be very detrimental

try ginger tea. make a cup of hot tea, add sugar and milk to taste, then add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger (yeah, the spice). stir well and drink it. it may take two cups, but you will be very surprised at the results.
