I'm looking for a digital camera. I don't know what brand to go with. I narrowed it down to 2 companys.....Sony and Canon. I like the thin design models. I already know which one to buy but i don't want to invest in a camera thats going to suck.

I have the canon power shot sd630. I absolutely love it. It has an amazingly large screen so you can see your pictures clearly before you decide to keep them or not, it also has thees cool options to chose vivid colors like green or blue to make outdoor pictures really pop. My favorite feature though is the color selection. This is where you choose a specific color to be seen in your photos. For example if you are taking a pictur of a sunset you can choose the color red and only shades of red will appear and the rest will be in black and white. The only downside I have found to this camera is that it does not have image stabilization so you have to have a steady hand... besides that it is really amazing!

I have had very good luck wiht Canon's. I currently own a compact Canon - the PowerShot. As well as a Canon Digital SLR (The Rebel)
Both have a great features from point and shoot to full blown control of the camera.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7 digital camera and it has worked great for me. I have had it a year now, and it has taken a lot of abuse..It is very durable, even after being dropped several times. This is my second Cyber-shot camera... I love both of them and would highly recommend Sony. The Cyber-shot DSC-T10 with the 7.2 megapixels is the new version of mine and it looks incredible. That would be my first choice.

I dont know a thing about digital cameras... but I got a Canon Power Shot S3IS for X-Mas and I love it! :o)

I love and trust Sony. The canon is also excellent and easy to use. Features and pictures are beautiful.
