i will tell you what helps me. Try to take a shower every other day in the winter months instead of every day. And use glycerin soap or Dove moisturizing soap. Also i use this fairly new product you can get at Walmart, its called Baby oil GEL(i use the lavendar one) by Johnson and Johnson. It is oily but i usually put it on at nite after a shower a couple of times per week. Also try Vaseline Deep Moisture cream. Also found at Walmart.
good luck

any kind of oil like olive oil or baby oil applied at night helps. Might feel sticky initially, but it really works. Also, right after a shower, and drying yourself, slathering on moisturiser on a slightly damp body helps.

Do not take hot showers as they dry out your skin. Use a mild soap or shower gel. Put lotion on when your skin is still damp. Use shea butter or a thicker lotion especially on your feet and where skin is driest.

Avoid hot baths or showers......use an extra moisture body wash, then lather on the lotion.....body butter is good, and helps...Avon has some good ones I've found out. They help me. But my worst problem I won't quit the HOT baths, and I pay for it.

Eucerin skin cream-it's really thick and creamy. I get really dry skin too, and it helps me more than any lotion.
