I have been overseas for my carreer for the last 2 months. I will be back in the States for good just before Xmas.
Before I left I was reunited with an ex boyfriend.
He found my myspace page and we got together to talk for 3 hours. We also kissed but I then I stopped him from anything more.
I then left for a 3 month work assignment in Europe.
We have kept in close contact via email and texting.
But last week after he told me Im so attractive, good and he cant wait to start dating when I'm home for good, he has disappeared !
He has totally gone awol on me. I foudn him online briefly and all he could reply was that he was super busy and couldnt talk.
Then he signed off. We has usually IMd each other when he was home Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. But he was not online at all the last few days. I guess my biggest clue is that he was put his myspace page on private and has taken down his personal ad on match and yahoo.
Im thinking he met someone. Agree ?

Should I ever bother contacting him again ? Should I confront him ?
We once dated and he was a great guy back then. Im confused that he could be so ardent and excited about me and then suddenly turn cold and vanish. :(

There are 2 choices in the matter.
1) Never contact him and take it as a sign
2) talk to him
If you cant bear to not know why hes ignoring you I would find a way to talk to him about it. Remember you might not like what you hear. Everyone changes in one way or another so dont expect him to be the same when you dated him before...it doesnt always work that way. If he doesnt want to contact you after you try to talk to him then he is not worth your time. Find a guy who will spend the time to talk.
Good Luck!!

There is one explanation for his behavior: He has a Myspace Account. It's private (there is something to hide) he's grown man he should have the guts to deny requests while profile is on public. I seriously hate Myspace, I predict that it will become the number one cause for divorce and breakups if people don't get a grip. I speak from experience, I met a guy on there and he seemed decent and honest, after he asked me to be his girlfriend I realized he never had me in his top friends list and that really made my blood boil. Anyway I broke up after I found out he was married. To hell with online relationships I will never go that route again, nor will I ever stay in a relationship with a man who uses myspace. Sorry, but I have other means of communicating with old friends rather than going to the new sin city.

I think you should concentrate on your here and now. He knows you are coming home, maybe he IS seeing someone else, and you have been giving him an extra dose of confidence. I agree with you and think he has someone else. It's easy to make what you want out of a long distance relationship. He also just might be scared! One thing is for sure. There are plenty of good guys out there and you seem to have your act together well. Good sense of self worth, good job... why worry about something you have no control over (him)! Good Luck

he has met someone, and is busy with her, and know's u are coming home soon and expect to see him, so he is shutting it down in hopes u will get the message, without him actually having to be confronted. could be he has had someone all along, and doesn't want her to know what he has been up to. i would not confront him or have anymore contact with him. don't set yourself up for anymore deception from him. it is so odvious, he has someone else.

saying that one is too busy to communicate or to see you is the oldest excuse in the book. he wants to distant himself from you.
and you maybe right that he found someone else and she might be the one who told him to take his ads down.
