For example,
If somebody exercises 4 times/weekly total of 10 hours vs. the same person exercises 7 times/weekly total of 10 hours, why is it that scientists say the 7 times a week is much more effective even though the total amount of hours are the same?

please I need to know why also. thanks

I'm not doing anything difficult or intensified. I walk on the treadmill for 60 minutes then 25 minutes on the stationary bike everyday. I've been doing this for 4 months almost every day and I've lost close to 38 lbs. I eat normally.

We have to exercise these days because we no longer have to rely on hunting and gathering for our food and we no longer build our own shelters and we don't have to fight off predators like early man did. In other words, he exercised every day because he had to. Our body is built for that. The only thing to keep in mind is what kinds of exercise you're doing (aerobic v. anaerobic) and intensity. If you work out too intensely every day your body won't be able to heal any minor injuries caused by the exercise, and the injuries can become worse.

I don't really believe this to be true, but it also depends on what you're talking about.

If you mix up what kind of exercises you do, say alternating cardio days with weight-lifting days, you could probably get away with working out seven days a week. However, to see the best results our bodies need time to rest and recover, at least once or twice a week. So, exercising every day isn't really the best thing to do for most people.

I'm not sure what you've seen or heard (I suspect misinformed people have been feeding you crappy information) but working out every day isn't necessarily better.

I suggest doing some real research and making up your own mind about what's best for you.

Calories in / calories expended per 24 hour cycle. Let me say, though, that 10 hours per week seems a bit excessive. I think 1 hour per day is plenty! If you're working out 10 hours per week....I shouldn't think it would matter if you did it over 4 days or 7. Where did you get your original information.? I'm curious.
