go to newyears.com there was a long list of places, it gave details and you can even buy tickets in advance

You can check out the resturaunt in the Novtel hotel. The restaurant is awsome and you can actaully see times square and the ball drop, but you'll be enjoying it from eye level.

I agree the only way you will get to work out that stupid ball is that in case you initiate camping out at situations sq. at midday on Dec. 31. i grow to be there final 365 days it sucked to be surrounded via travelers and non- New Yorkers, in case you are going to long island do it up pass to 3 bars, walk the streets, yet stay removed from situations sq.! this is a vacationer seize and not properly worth it.
