The bible says that it’s the word of god the word of god is perfect. So if the bible is flawed god didn’t make it. If man has somehow messed with the word of god and god didn’t fix this, what does this say to you? It says god doesn’t care.
Or do you not believe in your entire bible? And if you don’t how can you do this?
I know man is flawed but god wouldn’t allow flaws in the bible would he? And if he would how do you know any of it is true, which parts are mans flaws and which parts are truly god’s words? Which parts should you believe, only the things you like?

You can extract this question further. If God's word is perfect, and God knows the human mind he created, does this mean that God wanted people to act the way they do as a result of "misinterpretation"?

You should believe all things in the Bible. For all of it is true. The Word of God is perfect. The Bible would never have any flaw in it. The Bible even says it is a sin to change the Word of God. If someone did mess with the Word of God, God would fix it. Even if He doesn't fix what they messed up in the Bible, He would punish them for doing so. God cares about everything. He cares enough to punish us while we are on this earth, so that we will learn from our mistakes, and not suffer eternal punishment in Hell. You are to believe in the entire Bible. Not believing in the entire Bible will result in Hell. All parts of the Bible are true. You should like the WHOLE Bible. The Bible is like a map that shows you the way to Heaven. Just take the Bible for what it is and believe what it says. God tells only the truth and God wrote the Bible through the hands of men. Therefore the Bible is true.

You are right that misinterpretations could have taken place in the Bible because humans are involved. That is why you need to do more than just read it. You need to study. You will see things repeated and reiterated. These you can take as an absolute. If there is something you are unsure of ask about it, pray about it, join a Bible study group to discuss it. This is part of developing a relationship with God. Things will then become much clearer to you. You will know The Truth. Good luck and God Bless.

Merry Christmas.

We know the Bible is totally God inspired and Gods straight from the mouth of God. When you read the bible even if there were things that seemed wrong the Holy spirit of God that is in Christians would tell you that you didn't understand it right. The notion of a flaw in the bible is based on your untrust of God and you should quickly fix that and accept that you dont know everything because God is here to help save your soul, not damn it.

I believe the jist of the bible. Some of the historical things. However my gut feeling when I read some parts tells me it is not all 100% true. I don't think that god doesn't care. I personally beleive God to be a lot different than how the bible portrays him. I think he is superior to us but not perfect. Compared to us he might seem perfect, but I am not so sure he is. I also don't think my beliefs make me a bad person. God gave me a brain to use, so I use it. I think God is bigger than the bible and bigger than one religion. I also think God is so much different than us that we wouldn't be able to fully comprehend him as he really is, and this might be why the bible is so difficult to understand. In other words if he was somehow dictating the bible to different men to write, maybe he had difficulty putting things in terms we as humans could understand.
For example the same way it is sometimes hard to express your wants and needs to your dog, but other times he seems to understand just what you are thinking.
Sorry if this was confusing. I have a hard time expressing myself about this topic.

God is perfect, man isn`t.When you become saved and you study the word you will understand what is written. The more you study and understand the deeper the meaning. The Bible is also history that was written by man, inspired by God.Take for instance That God said in Genesis that Adam and Eve could eat of the fruit of the Garden all but the tree of life.If they ate of that fruit, that day they would die.Now some would say ,well they didn`t die that day, they lived for several hundred years. Now to understand that to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. No man has ever lived a thousand years,so man died that day.The word doesn`t lie,it`s just miss interpreted

Mighty clever question.
The bible is a compilation of works done by different, Inspired, yet nevertheless Human writers/scribes.
That's it in a nutshell.

Are you the sort of person that believes everything on the news? Did you know the process of choosing which stories get the limelight and which don't? There are many many stories everywhere, some simply repeating the same song of praise and warning over and over. Just said in slightly different ways. The heart and the mind function differently, but the Spirit that resides in you is what must listen. Let those who have ears hear.

Bible's original manuscripts were perfect, without flaws. There are small MINOR descreptancies due to copying errors (such as misspelled names or places, etc) but NO major "mistakes". Therefore, entire Bible is basically correct.
God does care about the Bible. But we have a responsibility as well. By the way Bible is the God's book but also is man's book (in the sense that it was written by men who were inspired by God).

Of course the Bible is going to toot its own horn. It's going to say it's the word of God and that it's perfect. It was in fact written by men and claims to be God *inspired* not written by God. It's been translated many times over and in many instances there is *not* an exact translation from one language to the other -- do you not agree? For that reason, the Bible is not infallible. How do you propose God "fix this?" Anyone who thinks God is up in the sky somewhere sitting on a throne watching everything that goes on here on Earth is simply naive.

God set up the SYSTEM. We are in charge. We are all responsible for our own actions and will have to account for them, lifetime after lifetime after lifetime... until we get it right. God does not look down and decide what is good and what is bad, and interfere with anything. If you read up on the universal law of karma and reinarnation, it all might make a little more sense as to why there is good and bad, and we are all born into vastly different sets of circumstances ... and why "bad things happen to good people".

There are many spiritual books written (Bible, Torah, Quran, Bhagavad-Gita, and more). God isn't responsible for "fixing" what is in these books. We all have free will and must search for the truth.

That's why it's called FAITH, you must BELIEVE in what you believe in. Nothing or no one should make you question GOD or your faith. Yes the bilble is filled with flaws because man wrote the bible from his occurances. Have you ever played the game where you whisper something in a person's ear and thet were told to pass it along and by the time it got to the last person it was not what you had whispered. Stay true and be blessed.

1) Proving the Bible by the Bible is called "circular reasoning" and is a logical fallacy. Orthodox Christians do not subscribe to "proof texting" from the Bible.

2) Neither do we believe in "Sola Scriptura" (Bible alone as final authority). Our faith is based on Scripture, Tradition, and Reason.

3) Remember, the Holy Scriptures were written, not as a science book, not as an astronomy book, not as a history book (although many historically accurate facts are within those 66 books that make up the Bible), nor a biology book nor a physics book.

Scripture was compiled by the Church (not the other way around) for one purpose and one purpose only....to point the way to Salvation though Jesus Christ, our Lord.
