It's a family birthday dinner for my boyfriend's sister and although I have met both her and his brother before but never the parents. I don't know whether to wear jeans or pants or a skirt. I'm 25.
Some advice please!

I would go casual. A nice skirt or dress pants. However, you could ask your boyfriend, if he is wearing jeans then jeans would be appropriate. Just be sure to wear something that you feel comfortable and cute in. Good luck and God bless****

I think it depends on what you wear with those bottoms.
maybe you should ask him if the atmosphere of the dinner party is casual or formal. jeans and a dressy shirt will look chic and urban-y. But wearing jeans and a plain old tee will be underdressing. Avoid wearing pants and skirts that are more for business attire and clothes that you would wear out to the
hippest clubs. Think of the feminine tops from xpress, forever21...

I would see what your boyfriend is wearing and don't stray too far from that. You'd probably be well off to wear slacks or a skirt but don't overdo the jewelry or perfume. You can't really go wrong with a knee length black skirt and some kind of sweater.

Wear something conservative without looking too Pilgrimish... But you definitely don't want to wear a mini skirt or anything relating to that. I'd go with either a long or knee length skirt, or jeans. And a sweater.

Dress like the girl next door, not like a slut. It's really that simple. You can dress howevery you want, and not worry about what people think: a lot of people may say that, but the truth is, that if you care about him, you should care about how you look to others: especially his parents. A skirt is fine, if it's long enough and tastefull. Don't show your wonderful cleavage: this is not the time for that.

Be mushy - it is the main serious ingredient! do not positioned on something which will limit you, enormously in case you're eating, and don't positioned on something too revealing. terrific to adhere to clever denims and a ideal. As for behaviour, permit your boyfriend handbook your way. it quite is his accountability to verify it is going easily, and that i'm specific he will look when you. attempt to be well mannered as you may, and evade any communique no-nos (like faith and politics). And be your self. mutually as that's significant you're making a stable impact, be actual to your self and attempt to act as evidently as you may. i comprehend that's not elementary, yet once you're extreme approximately your boyfriend it quite is critical which you will act standard infront of his pals and kinfolk too (i comprehend this all too nicely, because of the fact i've got continually positioned a splash bit a 'front' on once I meet my fiances mothers and fathers and that i now ask your self whether i will ever relax and coach them the actual me!). in case you're at a eating place, continually order something 'elementary' to devour - like penne pasta, risotto and so on. My worst nightmare is steak skidding around the plate once you're reducing it! stable success X

hhmm... go modest. skirts down past, repeat PAST the knees, long sleeve shirt, or short sleeve, doesnt matter. just make sure you are modest, and cover at least 70 percent of you. like socks, nice high heels, but nothing too high, like over 3 inches. earrings should be kept to either studs or small hoops. use make-up lightly.
