Need a practical gift for a girl?

So there is this girl that I went out with once last week. Tryin to make something out of this. Supposed to go out again on Weds. Was gonna get some flowers for her, but she said she doesnt care much for them since they just get old and wilt. So what can I do to impress her?

Practical gift come in the shape of the Ipod shuffle or cool hand lotion's from Bath & Body. Good luck
