Rock, Paper, Scissors
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rock, Paper, Scissors is a hand game most often played by children. It is often used as a selection method in a similar way to coin flipping, Odd or Even, throwing dice or drawing straws to randomly select a person for some purpose, though unlike truly random selections it can be played with skill if the game extends over many sessions, because one can often recognize and exploit the non-random behavior of an opponent.

Sudden Death overtime in the NFL is just luck. If you win the coin toss, you are the team with the advantage. The best way to break a tie in the NFL would probably be to use the college method of each team getting the ball at the 25 with no game clock and the chance to score a TD or field goal, but for he NFL teams, perhaps they should start at the 30 or 35 yard line since they're better and more experienced players.

Roll dice? Odd or even number on the current temperature? Play paper-scissors-rock with a friend? Lay a blanket outside overnight and check to see if it's wet or dry in the morning?

Odds or Evens. One person says they will be odds the other is evens. You count to three and on three you each put up one hand with however many fingers up on it. The sum of the fingers of both hands (depending on if it's odd or even) decides the winner.
If person A throws out two fingers and person B throws out three fingers, the sum is five so the "odd" person wins.

Seeing who is the oldest/youngest, or maybe who's birthday is closest to the date that you are deciding. Also ,doing rock/paper/scissors - that always works and never fails!

Sure, there are so many ways - you can even invent your own. A simple way is for one of two people to call out "odds" or "evens". Then they say "Once, twice, three...shoot." Each of them simutaneously holds out one or two fingers. If the total number of fingers is even, then "evens" wins, and so on.
